They are so cute! I hope they don't start munching!!! I would love to have horses next door. All the fun of feeding and petting, but no expense and no cleanup, lol. I hope the neighbors do keep the area cleaned up of the manure at least. Woner if there is something wrong with that one with the spot on it's forehead? Pregnant maybe? Weird how its fat, yet you can see its ribs so clearly, and the way its backbone sticks out?
Do you have an apple tree?

They are cute. I have no idea if they eat them or not but I kind of doubt it. There's some sort of wild solanum in the field at the farm and in the neighboring property which is a stable and the horses don't eat it.

Well Mike, don't be surprised if they do nibble on it just enough to pull them up. I finally had to move the fence here to the other side of the driveway so our horses would stop eatting everything within their reach. As all of you could tell from the photos, none of our horses are under nurished. If anything they all need to be put on a diet. LOL They all look pregnant.LOL

One of our dogs also ate on part of a brug and was sick for a couple of days. I actually thought she was going to die. She couldn't keep anything down and I'm talking about both ends. The vet just had us give her some over the counter meds and she got better.

It looks like your neighbor runs a business out of his place. So don't look for him to make alot of improvements to where and how he stores his equipment and stuff. I have the same problem here. I just hate all the tractors, horse trailers, campers, and other junk being strown all over the place. I try to make George park everything at the back and in a neat little row. Where as he just gets on a tractor, does what he needs to do with it and then parks it where ever he darn well pleases. I've gone out there on more than one occassion and moved EVERYTHING to the back by the big barn. LOL Then he complains about having to walk way down there to get something.

Like Kylie said, you might want to become good friends. Horse poop is very good for your plants. While your at it you might even help him build a place for him to park and hide all the JUNK/equipment he has. LOL

Don't trust them. They might not eat them but they might pull it up or bite out the top just for the fun of it sometime if they get bored, lol. They used to love pulling off my lemons and limes and spit them back out. They do look pregnant, lol. If you can, get all the stuff they clean out of the stall in the barn and add it to your compost pile. It makes the very best fertilizer in the world but just make sure its well decomposed. I used to use that in my veggie gardens all the time. The hay and poop break down pretty quickly. I love horses but they can be just like kids and be mischievious at time. They will even chew on wood fence boards if they get bored. You may want to start saving for a privacy fence and you won't have to look at his junk or worry about the horses eating your brugs, lol. We had one horse that we raised from a baby and she would knock on the front door to get apples and carrots. She was the sweetest thing and loved the kids. She would get up beside the fence and stand still so the kids could climb the fence and get up on her back and ride them around. I almost croaked when I left the boys watching Morgan when she was about 3 and went inside to make sandwiches and came back out and shes was riding around bareback on her. She was just walking really slow in circles with the baby on her back holding onto her reins and the boys said look mom she got on all by herself, lol. I figured out real fast not to trust them to watch her outside, lol. The horse was a better babysitter than the boys, lol.
