Good morning all. Lucy, don't have a clue about lizards, but assume that is a day old. It looks transparent. I am just starting my day (now 5:30 AM), but as I will be watching my granddaughter, it will be a great day!

On the other hand, I have been trying to replace a few pieces of furniture that got totaled from the flood. You know how that goes, "when you aren't looking, you find stuff everywhere, but when you are looking, you can't find anything"! It's frustrating, to say the least!

Well girls you're up early! That little lizard is a heartbreaker, how cute! I've been up about 1/2 hour, gave Tommy his breakfast and insulin, finished my first cup of coffee and looked out to see frost on deck and roof. The plants in the courtyard don't seem to be affected, thankfully, cuz Heloise and Santa Rosa are out there with a few potted tomatoes and herbs. Haven't seen the resident foxes yet, need to shower and go to ladies Bible study at 9:00. I'm afraid I'll have to take the plants in this week for good tho, as low overnight temps are predicted later in the week and it's the end of summer. Boo Hoo!

What an adorable little little critter. Now, I know nothing about lizards, but he looks newborn to me..like he is drying off and warming up in the sun.
Eloise, I think grandkids keep us young at heart, don't you? I greet 3 of my grandchildrenn after school every afternoon and enjoy the visit til Dad gets home from work.Got a cute story for you all, when the youngest was in kindergarten last year, I loved teaching him new songs, or just boppin' around with him. He looked at me so serious one day and ask me "Grandma when you do that, does that mean you have the music in your head"..Of course I said "yep, and the love in my heart"I think we all get better with age!

What a darling little creature! I love lizards (yard kind not pet kind) I fell in love with them when I moved south I always used to enjoy watching the little green and blue ones in my MIL's garden. But we never had any at our house. So sad. But the other day I peeked through the blinds at a noise in the street....

but he was! I haven't seen him since (it has been wet and dreary though I hop that when the sun comes back so will he.

As for the 'age' question I have to say no.... my age really doesn't matter, I don't think about getting older (except occasionally when I over extend myself OUCH).

But I think alot about my family and my siblings, my friends age. I do pick up the phone more often, to call friends and loved ones, reinforce the bonds, relive the memories. Just to say HEY!!! How the heck are you? I miss you and yes to say the "L" word because I do, and because it should never be left unsaid. (no matter how old you are)

Good Afternoon all. I had a early appointment and did not get on the puter.

Age does not bother me. Lucy I agree it is only a number if you are happy and live a productive life everyday age will never matter.

Of course I feel especially good when I hear people say I do not look my age. I think attitude is what people see. Grochy makes people see you as old.

That's a lil gecko, Lucy. He is probably trying to catch bugs in the light.

He is adorable Lucy! Looks like he is just a few hours old and is probably staying warm by the light. We have some that live in our breaker box. I have this huge fat spider that made a web from the top of the greenhouse to the gazebo. I nearly ran my face into him yesterday. I wish he would go somewhere else. I don't want to kill him but spiders creep me out. I can't go in one end of the greenhouse with his web stretched across. I tried to get a pic of the web yesterday but don't think you can see it. I should mist it and see if the water droplets make it show up. Its HUGE. We had a turkey running around our neighborhood last year and there are a lot by the shop. Very cool to have one on the patio.

I agree, the older you get the faster time goes by. I figure having a toddler in my mid 40's is either going to kill me or keep me young. I hope it's the latter. lol

What a cute little gecko but it looks like he's already had a rough start. Someone or something got the end of his tail. You can already see it regenerating. My baby leopard geckos would attack each other if I left the males together for too long. I'd love a wild turkey in my yard. I've never seen one outside of an animal preserve or the butcher. lol The wild turkey was considered for our national bird before the bald eagle was chosen.

Cute little gecko! How long was it, Lucy? We see hatchlings here that are an inch long and the big ones about 3 inches.

I love to see turkeys in the wild! Lucky you, Marquest!

As for age, I feel my age today, but usually feel a lot younger.

Kristy don't you just hate it when you walk straight into a spiderweb with your face? That is when my patience for spiders stops lol. I keep taking down their web so long until they move someplace else. Guess you are ready for Halloween lol. A few days ago when we had the morning fog...EVERYTHING showed up so nicely. Got some really great pictures that day.

Karyn there is NO WAY that sweet Kyle would do that to you ;-) I am more worried about the birthday bashes you throw rofl. I saw that too that he did not have as long as a tail as his brother or sister, right next to him. I am with you. I would not mind for the Turkey's to stroll by the house. But they take the back road.

So that is what a gecko looks like. He is sooo cute. Age has never mattered to me. Some days I feel like 110. I will be 40 this year. ug. LOL. Time does fly.

Good news and bad news on the walking. My foot is healed and everything looks good, but I developed tendinitis when I started out walking again so now I have to stay off my foot (again) for a few weeks. At least I can get out and around more than before, but no happy dance until the tendon gets better.

This morning I heard the birds and went out expecting to see lots of birds, but there was just one mockingbird singing away. He loved having an audience and I enjoyed the concert.

Today I'm feeling a bit older than usual.
That explains not getting in here until noon!
We have lots of those gekos around here and the anoles as well.
The other day I found a garter snake (baby) in my bathroom!
LOL, I didn't have my glasses on and thought it was a string and went to pic it up and it moved! Good thing I was in the bathroom!!!!!
I just want to say how much I enjoy this forum.

The lizards we see most often here in San Antonio and across the south are actually Anole. They are different from the Gecko, but are often identified as the same.
