Just want to let everyone know how much I enjoy this forum. (I'm just starting an addiction!)

There are so many offers of cuttings/plants to addict newbies or to feed the addictions of collectors. I just feel good when reading through the posts. I can jump in an joke with people I have never met, even online.

There is great information avalable. Now, someone just may have caused financial distress for me, though. I was reading through the posts on the eBay sellers. Just had to take a look. Probably won't make it through the day without buying!

Recently I have had a lot of free time on my hands and I am limited to reading, using my laptop computer or writing (no I donÂt want to get into why). I have spent many, many hours (ok really many days) on this web site learning so much. There are so many wonderful pages and links. I must thank all of you wise and knowledgeable folks who keep offering advise, educated (and some not so educated) opinions; you are such a vast wealth of information. Every few posts I learn something new. Thank you again for all your wisdom and patience with us newbies. Personally I havenÂt yet canned, but I know so much, I almost feel like an expert...lol. Funny story for you; A few years ago I was determined to start canningÂI searched the Internet for a good canner, thought I found one and then there was a great deal on ebay. I waited, I watched and then put in a final bidÂyahoo, I wonÂ I finally received my new pride and joy and oh no!!! I have a second oven over my stove and my new pressure canner wouldnÂt fit, it is too tallÂ there went my hopes of canning out the window for a while. I finally sold that canner, bought a new one last week, but I have since learned to go back and try to get the 3-part weightÂ I also want to bump this post back to the front where it belongs so every one of the experts, who I feel I know personally, will see how much this site is appreciated!!! This forum really is a very nice one, made up of a group of very nice people. And I've been on various internet "forums" (they were called newsgroups back then) since '90 or so, so I've had quite a bit of experience with different ones. And I love this one mostly because of how immediately I felt welcome and as if I was an accepted member of the group, people were recognizing my name, etc. Unfortunately I've had to really restrict how much time I spend here for the past month or so because I've been extremely busy with various things, but I still pop in, mostly lurking, but I've got to get my daylily fix somehow! :) Casey

I love this site!! I get so many great ideas from you guys- whoever said 2 heads are better than one was right - only there are dozens on here. Funny story - we had DH's co-workers over for dinner a few weeks ago and the next day at work one of the guys said his wife really liked how our house was decorated. He was told to ask for the name of our decorator. DH laughed and said that my wife gets all her ideas from some ladies on some website!! See, he even knows that it's not my ideas but yours!!

Peppers and lilies for the most part. Also attempting to get some hibiscus going. Trying to start various tropical fruit plants -- more for the plant. Starting some shrubs that have been grown by my family for years. (Just started back gardening 2 years ago.)

Southeast LA, just outside of Baton Rouge.

Dog is Jessie. (How did you know there was a dog?) Two kids -- supposedly grown. Daughter is 21 and son is 19. Both moved back home this summer. Daughter decided to actually attend school rather than party. Son was in a motorcycle accident and needs full-time supervision at the moment. Now, he has decided to return to school. (Excited about them going to school.)

No pics. I don't take a lot. The pics in my head are always better than those I take with a camera. (Scare you there?)

Amelia it sounds like you got yourself 3 beautiful colors. You did great. I started out and ended up with LOTS of pink onces lol

TRust me, once you are here a while. Taking pictures will follow. I have not even taken that many pictures with our first born rofl

Hi Amelia. Glad you joined us. Sounds like you picked up a nice variety of cuttings. He does have some pretty varieties available.

Welcome to the forum! You got some great ones. Orange infusion is one I have my eye on but am trying to resist right now. Keep an eye out, you may be able to get some cuttings for postage!
