Congrats on your surprise box of goodies, I know the excitement of caring for them when given as a precious gift. I just sent some plants and seeds to my friend in Missouri,....Don't know who's more excited, her or me...lol.

Daniella, You did forget one thing. I gave you a complimentary sock to go with it all. Don't worry it was clean :) You know what they say. Necessity is the mother of all inventions (or was that laziness?). I needed a bigger box to encompass the spread of the plant. At first I just made the flange to go around the trunk. Just before I put it in there I invisioned the pot underneath the flange getting thrashed around and seperating the roots from the rest of the plant. The little box was laying in the living room (Danielle's Grandma sent her some roly polies for her bday) so I used it to stabilize the pot. I'm glad it worked out. I hope that thing flowers for you. Should be some time tween jan and march. How did the other stuff look? I got a feeling I didn't cut enough leaves off the brug cuttings. The mimosa seedling didn't look too happy after I dug it up. If it dont make it hopefully the seeds are viable and dont have little gray beetles in each one. I wanted to send as much as I could cause I hated the thought of waisting all that space. Just wish I had more good stuff I coulda packed in there. I hope you will enjoy at least some of it. I'm sure you will like at least the daphne. Might wanna through some chicken bones on it and maybe a locket of your first born's hair. I've read they can be difficult and even with the best of care they can still up and die on you. The only one of 4 that I've lost was because I put it in the ground before the last frost. It hasn't been a full year yet but, so far so good. You can find some care info on the fragrant forum. Snaxs seems to be doing good growing hers in a pot. If it don't make it just let me know. Hopefully next year mine will atain a size where I'll be more comfortable taking cuttings to try and root. They grow very slowly and don't like pruning. Oh and when my neighbors daughter gave me my first brug I thanked her. She told me dont thank her because it is bad luck so I retracted the initial thank you and I waited til it bloomed to thank her again. So dont thank me yet :) Ur welcome for the sock, haha. You can keep it :)

I am tempted to put it the Daphne in the ground..did alot of reading up on it and folks here in Jersey seem to have luck with it, sooo....I may do that tonight, we're supposed to get some rain showers the next couple of days. I'll dose it up on some yummy plant steroids and get them roots goin!
Plus I'll mulch real good. I havent bought mulch yet this year..but I will for this baby!!!
Everything looked great, Brandon! Everything is doing great! I did trim the bigger leaves off of the brug cuttings. They are doing fine, and they are still even holding their buds!
