Citrus for the hot humid texas coast-sand

I caught the gardening bug, Now I need some citrus. I went by my feed store and he has a lemon tree with thousands of lemons on it. He gave me a bunch of lemons and I took some cuttings. I had previously rooted brugmansia, rose, night blooming jasmine. I am now trying lemons, some yellow flower tree, hybiscus and some passion flowers. These are rooting in a bucket with a airstone and a pump on gravel. Will the citrus work (lemon).

He was telling me about the oranges and the need for a grafted root. So I need to ask what type of citus will grow here and what are the best varities and sources for them. I am landscaping a growing area. It was 1/2 acre but has turned into 1 acre I think. I know little of citrus growing but have seen some people with great success. I would like to be successful also.

Here is what I am doing.(lemon on the left-- Comments
