Very nice. We could use some of your rain. We had the first and what looks like the last rain of the season a couple weeks ago. It's so terribly dry here that I bet many of the trees and shrubs won't survive the winter.

Thanks, I am just happy for them to be alive. It is so hot here. It takes a big root system to survive. Yes Dr. Seuss is very sweet smelling. I am hoping for some large flushes between Halloween and Thanksgiving. It will be cool enough to push them. Right now I will just settle for 5-10 at a time on the plants as long as something is blooming and fragrant everyday.

I would try and see if I could send some rain but all the cold fronts in the north would not allow it. Maybe one will make it down here. I would trade cool for rain any day.

Careful what you wish for! (grin) Checked the weather - we're in the 60s and 70s during the day this week, 40 tonite, 38 on Thursday nite, and 41 on Saturday nite. . .I'm hitting marginal already! We were at 83-92 last week. I didn't know we were going to slide so fast!

And. . .the heated garage isn't ready yet. . .guess who is going to have these monsters as ROOMIES for a few weeks! (grin)

Whoooho, 73 tonight, we did have a cool front. We suffer all summer so we can have a nice rest of the year. The average 1st frost is Dec. 26 here. I saw the 3 fronts moving, we get that in Late December, -February. One day 80 and then next day low 40's as the front moves through.

We have 2 seasons cool and hot. No middle ground. Picture of bloom #5 plant just had heat stroke today. Ran sprinkler over nigh on it. Oh well. Survival of the fittest.

Techno save a little space. I will send some CG's up your way around X-mas. The fuzzy one's You will have to probably shoot it to stop it from growing and blooming.

Plant #5 didn't make it? You sure? No chance to come back? I'm sorry to hear that. . .but I'm glad you had a cooler front come through to give you some relief.

I took part of yesterday off to go find the bubbler parts (it's 41 right now.) My temps have slid too fast and wasn't ready - no heated garage yet - just the older attached unheated. Figured that would retain some heat for now until I grab cuttings - and chop those who will be chopped.

I've taken today off to move everyone and assemble the bubbler. Boy I got caught off guard - should have paid more attention.

I am sure it will make it. It is a big tree like plant plenty of good big branches. What it did do was make it into the category as a non breeder. It also had bloomed all year long and was one of my stellar Dr. Seuss.

Sometimes I read real early. I am also a Techno. Playing with my new quad four. "Grin" It boots and is ready in less than 30 seconds firewalls and such up and running.

I may make some update to my system which is pretty basic. It might include filtration, drain and a reverse osmoses system for it. Of course the bubbler was upgraded real fast as air is key. I might also just for fun try a little o2 fed into the water. Yeah, I was the kid who took everything apart to see how it worked but with a twist I had to put it back together and make it work again. Or they would know I had taken it apart. LOL

That's pretty funny! The kid who took stuff apart. . .ok, I used to, but I always ended up with spare parts after it went back together! (grin) Ooops!

Haven't had time to look around at that stuff - workin' on aps at the office - but need to look into a new box.

An o2 fed bubbler. . .ok, you just dusted me in that department! And here I was, proud that I found all the parts that Georgia on my mind had listed. LOL. . . .

I had the slowest here and run the most memory intensive apps. It was a special that someone forgot about at Dell. It went up 350+ dollars in a day. For a lot less of a computer. I run Graphics, cad and mechanicals. Rendering a 150 mb file gave me the blues. It was not a option at under $ 900.00 delivered with a bunch of goodies added.

We run 02 bubblers on guide boats here. It really helps keep them alive. (bait) I have been playing gardener so I guess it would be a good thing to try???? I am always tinkering with something or researching. Sometimes I wonder if anyone other than an engineer would see the beauty or be able to fix my stuff. I do try to design for simplicity but simple is sometimes complex to others.

If there is room in the garage an old freezer upright makes a cheep enclosure for propagating and is easy to heat with a light bulb. I do the low tech spiral bulbs. They seem to provide enough of the spectrum to make plants thrive. Cheap and very versatile.

Life is not bliss w/ the quad. (Vista) Sometimes it feels like a started a race car only to find I always had to air up the tires before I could start. GRIN I have leaned it out a bunch. Today I saw where they will now ship w/o all the trial ware and spyware. Mine went away the 1st few hours. It wanted control.

On the heater above 70 they propagate real fast but also want to die of mush. I kept mine most the time around 65-70. Fungicide and Hydrogen peroxide help. The really good cutting will amaze you at how quick they root. The other 60% plus are the ones needing the help. I know nothing about holding over big bushes. I would do the dormancy thing if I had to keep them inside. I have heard that plumeria is dug and hung upside down. Hmmmm Keep us informed of the progress.

May even try pollination for myself. (ThatÂs over my head though.)

RE: Appreciating the beauty of engineering. . . itÂs funny, I sometimes think "now if I was gone tomorrow, what would they think if they saw this? TheyÂd think I was a nutcase." IÂm sure some of your stuff would just amaze people.

Vista machine. . owwwwch, but glad you dumped all that stuff, should run like the "race car" now as you described. Enjoy it.

I also push boxes hard, the idea of a new box makes me tired thinking about it. I push them with graphics, vid, web packages plus I drive Apache, IIS, and SQL along with VS, etc., etc.. testing stuff. When IÂm done with a machine, itÂs DONE, toasted, tired. IÂm getting tired, too. (grin)

IÂm hoping I can over winter some in a dormancy state, and take cuttings just in case. My goal is to be able to get the hang of the bubbler, and then each year, no pots, no mess, no leaves. Bring them in, pop them in the bubbler, and each spring, take them out, put them in the ground so they can live happy, big, and healthy in the ground. ItÂs an experiment. IÂll try it with cuttings, too. My little guys have to stay in pots  theyÂre not big enough yet. And IÂll try digging and potting like Ruth_Ann does too.

CanÂt haul those ladies again  that was just. . . .wraaaaawwwwnnng! (grin)

As for Plumeria - that plant is way out of my league, and I don't want to even try it. It is good to know one's limitations. (grin)
