I spoke to Cobraplant and tried to describe it. I also bought 2 of them from Lowes which don't appear to be attached by any roots. When I spoke to Jacob at Cobraplant.com he seems to think they are probably Mexican Butterworts. I'm in California, so I don't know whether or not they sell the same plants across the country.

Who are the growers? Depends on that too.

The grower on some of these Lowes and Home Depot plants is Gublers.Com, they're big Orchid growers.

It seems as if the Butterworts, Sundews, Pitchers and Nephs are from Gublers. But my Lowes and Home Depots out here in the Antelope Valley now have VFT's from a different grower.

I've purchased two Butterworts from Lowe's/Home Depot in the past couple weeks and I've been trying to figure out what species they are. I've narrowed it down to what looks like P. moranensis, but I'm still not sure...

What did you buy it in? That could help is it in a small plastic terrium? I would keep it in normal light like you have it if you start to notice a bunch of leaves start dieing and a small rosseta apear in their place it is going dormant, if thats what you are worried about.

Not much ealse i can say try to get a picture up that would help a ton if you dont know how to just ask

The ngrower on this 4 inch pot is called Botanical Wonders I have try looking for them only but I have not found them at all.

The ones that Lowe's sell are Pinguicula primuliflora.

I agree with nick. Mine is thriving in the sphagnum it was wrapped in. Still under the cover of the original container though. Savage Garden says they are short lived, and prone to rot. So if you want to keep it cut and propogate frequently. Also they enjoy peaty sphagnum mixes although I'm not sure the part for part yet. Anyhow does anyone know if their leaves shrivle up after so many uses or "meals" like a venus fly trap?

I grow mine in a mix of about 1-1 peat/sand. They like a high water table, at least mine enjoys it. No, the leaves should not shrivel after several meals. I've had mine for about 7 months after I rescued it from Lowes in March. Here is a recent pic of it:

I too tracked Botanical Wonders down to a dead end... they're a sub company of someone else who isn't going around announcing it. If anyone gets a further lead, let me know k? :-)

I bought a Lowes cube of a sundew last week. It had plenty of dew on it. Then I put it outside in 65F sunny, windy weather for a few hours and all of the dew disappeared. The leaves also started wilting. I returned it to the box and gave it some RO water, but it still hasn't gotten its dew back yet after several days. And some of the leaves are turning slightly brown on the tips. I am keeping it in the windowsill. Any suggestions on how to get it going again? I live in NE Ohio, so it is starting to get a bit colder here. Thanks in advance!

Lowes (Botanical Wonders) sells P. primuliflora, as NickZ123 says. Those "cubes of death" need to have their plants taken out and repotted into a pot that has drainage holes, sitting in a plastic ocntainer of water, uncovered, by a window sill.

Just wanted to say, I found a couple of these today at Lowes. It's my Lowes first batch of CPs for the year. Spring is here :-)
