Does it have roots? How often are you watering it? What type of potting mix or soil is it in? Is it outside? In a pot? Is it in full sun or full shade?

It has roots. The lady that gave it me potted it but I think it's normal cacti type soil..I've watered it once every 1 to 2 weeks but not with a lot of water. It's in full shade in a ceramic pot

Does the pot have a drainage hole? Try watering 'til you see water coming out the bottom, as little sips of water don't really help this.

Ah it doesn't have a drainage hole. Maybe the full sun is not doing it any good? Thank you for all of the help I really appreciate it. I've checked and it is in cactus soil.

You need to repot into a pot that has a drainage hole. Your plants roots are drowning with no place for the water to go. After you repot I would start the plant in a shady area and acclimate it back into full-sun. Good luck and hopefully your plant perks back up!

When you repot it please show a photo of the plant. Full sun will make the plant shrivel and turn brown. With infrequent watering I actually think it is thirsty rather than drowning. But please put it in a container with a drainage hole

And maybe ad some grit to the regular cactus soil, some perlite or something.

Perite would probally be best, or coarse sand

Thanks guys. I'm just about to re-pot it but the soil I got from the garden center seems very damp. The plant looks like this at the moment =[ seems to have perked up a little bit! But not alot

Add Would you say that your soil has a high orgnic componest or did they call it cactus soil.? If it is cactus soil add an equal part of pumice, perlite or other nonorganic gritty subtance. Not sand. Sand is actually not goo in a pot envoronment. But is good in a outdoor situation.

If it is normal soil I would up the inorganic ratio. maybe get it closer to 65- 75 % of the finish mix.
