who laid eggs on the Mexican sunflower?

Hello,

Does anyone know which butterfly uses Mexican sunflower (the small orange kind) for a host plant? I thought they only used them for nectar. The zebra & julia longwings are going nuts for my Mex sunflowers this year. Sometimes I see some Gulf Fritillaries and smaller butterflies too, but not too many Swallowtails and no Monarchs (they prefer my Mexican milkweed for nectar/egg-laying).

But just today, I saw several batches of baby caterpillars devouring the leaves. How exciting!! They are kind of brownish-orange with dark-brown hairs.. but I don't recognize them. Which butterfly might have started a family here??
