I haven't done it myself, but the absolute ugliest combination I've seen has got to be Orange Bird-of-Paradise and the purple Indica azaleas I saw planted together in Los Angeles. Those two plants don't go together in any way, climate, soil, looks, nothing.

PINK with anything but other shades of pink or plain ol' white. Ok, maybe pink and green. Of course, I'm talking Pepto-Bismol pink, not pretty, pale, pastel pink. An otherwise very nice neighbor lady gave me her pruned cuttings of some large, shrubby, PINK Pelargoniums many moons ago. I rue the day....:D

Sometimes, you have to watch out with red, but I really like your last combo, HM - burgundy and yellow. Rich then soothing. :)

Red flowers with pink flowers. Red cannas, pink (pepto) crape myrtle and pink daylilies. It was much easier to get rid of the cannas. Another bad one is red/orange daylilies with pink roses. This fall that combo will be dealt with as well. I'm glad it's relatively easy to fix these kinds of mistakes.

Your pics are very tiny and my eyes are old, but I don't see anything the least bit jarring in the colors.

Bear in mind, my garden is full of lively colors, I like it that way...

Thanks catkim, I love bright colors too. It's my first time trying to post pics and I did not know they would be so small. The color combos are much more horrifying in the garden.

I love pink flowers, and I love yellow, orange and red flowers, so you can imagine the way the pupils narrow trying to protect the brain in my garden.

Now, lemecdutex and a few of you mentioned jarring plant/color combos... like my purple foxgloves and coral-red canna juxtaposition? I'll spare you all the photo...

I've got a whole mess of color mixups in my garden. Im more of a natural, cottage style and informal color mixer. But I also keep my garden/yard well manicured, so it looks well regardless of colors and plant selection. Is there a name to this style? Lawnscaping style? I dunno...

I like this together myself. I didn't do it on purpose though.

Gee, that sounds great to me.

The worst combination color combination in our garden is my bright red Crocs (they were free!) with my stained and ripped (but not in a fashionable way) drab green gardening pants.

Still trying to get used to pink and yellow which today seems to be acceptable.

I have a Paprika Fonos Iris (brown and orange-y/bronze and purple) with a 'George Burns' rose (red and yellow stripes). It truly looks like h#ll. I'm going to have to move that Iris, but in the meantime it makes me laugh.

Thanks that's nice of you to say. I have it noted that it was 92o at the time I took the pic and it's Gemini's colors at that temp:) Those roses are very similar in shades at times.

The magenta (aka "red") Clematis that was growing in my purple, deep orange-red, and white color scheme. YUCK!

Needless to say that Clematis found a home with a willing adoptor.

The puke pink lillies that were supposed to be yellow and burgundy to match the Chocolate Cosmos and Limelight Nicotiana were ripped out without a moment's hesitation

cattomi, I still think yellow and pink is an awful combination. I know not everyone agrees with me on that, but I dislike it intensely.

I do like all colors, in their place. One of my favorite things to do is take several hot colors, plant them in big enough blocks so that it's as hot as possible (oranges, scarlets, orange-reds, yellow-oranges), and then plant near them one of what I think of as the "hot" blue/purples, like Crystal Palace lobelia, or one of the really intense delphiniums. Makes the hot colors really pop!

Not a color, but people who put roses and similar bedding plants at the base of palm trees. There are shrubs/flowers that go well with palm trees -- roses and alyssum do not. JMO.
