The date is set for March 19. It will start at 9 a.m. and go until everybody goes home, or until I get sick of you and ask you to leave. ;) My experience has been that these usually start breaking up around 2 p.m., and almost everyone is gone by 3. My friend and his wife took my oranges. Well, he took three, and is coming back for the other three this weekend. Actually, there are 4, but I'm keeping the Valencia until I leave to get the fruit, so he'll come get it then. Not quite sweet enough yet. I will still have a nice Nagami kumquat, two Nagami seedlings that are about 3 years old, a peanut butter bush, a longan, and the starfruit (if it's not too big to transplant...don't know) for sale cheap at the sale/swap/giveaway. I'll also have a nice-sized 3 gallon surinam cherry and a couple of u-dig purple-leaf plum suckers. They don't bloom well in 9 or 10, or bear fruit (it's not edible anyway), but they are really beautiful in the spring when the leaves come out. Closest color splash to a Japanese maple you'll get in South Florida. Also, lots of free elderberry sprouts for anyone who wants them. I'd say you can have the tree, but you wouldn't want to try to dig that up. It's been in the ground for 14 years. I may not get everything photo'd and posted beforehand, but I'll get as much as I can by the week before the swap, at least. Oh, the yard next door has a couple of awesome huge cacti..the ones with the large, red fruit (sorry, the name escapes me). It's going up for tax auction soon, so you might as well dig those babies up too. Nobody is going to stop you. A nice sea grape there that might have some ground-layered limbs on it. I'll have signs up all over the neighborhood, so if you want to bring plants to sell, feel free. I ask that you not bring anything but garden related items, though. Just make sure you bring plants to trade too, because the swap part is the most important. Again, if you have no plants, don't worry. I have TONS of plants and you will not to home empty handed. I hope to be there. I have a fairly new yard, but have a few cuttings of giant ice plant, Carpobrotus acinaciformis, to bring. Also, a small canna plant--no name, tall, reddish leaf with small red flowers--that is growing out of the garden bed.
