OK it's 2:30 am and I'm still awake looking at weird things online. Thought some of you might get a kick out of this. Common creatures, super sized.

NOT a good way to start the day!!! Especially when it is still dark when I start watering.

But then I guess better then looking at it just before bedtime. I wonder what dreams you had last night? roflmao

We switched to Ooma from AT&T and our monthly bill is $3.96. Yup. $3.96. Caller ID, call waiting etc. I found out about it on the conversation side of the Decorating board here at GW - there is someone there to help with anything you could ever need!!! At first I was skeptical because the dial tone sounded like a tin can - and it still does - but the calls are crystal clear so who cares about the dial tone! bought ours at Costco because they have a 90 day return policy on all electronics and if I hated it, I could return it. Used it with a phone number I got from Ooma to test it out then ported the land line number we've had forever to it. Unfortunately, we had to keep a basic landline number for the credit card machine that my husband needs for his business but this has still cut our phone bill by $75/ month. Wow, I had the most enjoyable night surfing through her blog. She is clever and fun and I love her wit. She also is refreshingly open and authentic about the dynamics of her marriage (and herself) and how these intersect the remodeling process. Perhaps my favorite "line" (okay, it's more like a mini-diatribe than a line) is in her post about staining the porch floor, in which she alleges she and her husband tried to kill each other: "There is something about Paul where he thinks that if he goes crazy first, he gets first dibs on it. And there will be none left for me. And I will be forced to take Option B - agreeing with him and slinking away quietly to appease his bad mood. WHY after EIGHT years of marriage he STILL thinks this is BEYOND me. I will see your bad mood. And I will raise it. And then I will steal all your cards and all your chips. And I will get you kicked out of the casino. And then I will go to the Chanel boutique and buy a new handbag. So LOOK OUT. Instead, I said "do whatever you want". And walked away. And I realized this: I have come so far. Even a year ago, I would have been ENRAGED at the suggestion of using a subpar color/product/stain/paint shade/sofa/toilet paper holder. But now? Fillmoe, My grands pay me too. When I feed them I write up a receipt like a waiter does and leave it by their plate. e.g. 1 sandwich, 1 juice box, 2 cookies=$3.00 or 1 hug and 2 kisses. When they get up from the table I ask "will that be cash or kisses".

A co-worker and his wife retired a few years ago. Kids out of college, they were no longer attached to where the had lived for 20 years. Sold everything. New SUV and a small Airstream and hit the road. At the time they planned a year at least traveling and settling when they found a retirement spot. Interesting idea. Wonder where they ended up. Maybe he is on Facebook. A bit of a grumbly old fart, but still think about him on occasion. Very few places have the year round 55º-75ºF perfect efficient temps. Minor heat needs and no AC. My parents spent a winter in SanMiquel Mexico for that reason. Babysat two dogs,😂. He does not like pets at all but did get a bit attached. The home came with a maid, a gardener, and two prepared meals a week by the maid. I visited a couple weeks. Sweet deal. During covid I started researching January through March for places to rent when we retire. Maybe someplace different each year. (warm, not hot). So do not like hot.

Karyn, that was so awesome, thank you for that link..The pix are cool, the writing is hysterical..thank you, now my nose burns coffee trying to come out of it..there are coffee spittles on my beautiful new monitor and keyboard..
I am DEF not looking at the one about the tiniest scary creatures that will fit in your shoe, because I admit THAT WILL freak me out.

Glad you all found it amusing. Daniella I thought the writing was hysterical too and was cracking up. I never did go to sleep, just piddled around the house all night. I even potted up a few plants in the greenhouse around 4 this morning. lol

Karyn I just like you to know that I was even scared of my own shadow when I saw something HUGE out of the corner of my eye this morning while watering roflmao

Got to go back and READ. Guess I missed the best part but had to water till now. Oh but I did take Hibiscus cuttings. Please cross your fingers for me...I really want to share them :-)

LOL, we LOVE cracked. most internet writers overdose on rude snark to the detriment of their humor, but the cracked writers are consistently sharp and witty, and they always find the most amazing obscure stuff to write about :)

It's 2:30 in the am & you can't sleep & you're looking at that stuff & you wonder why you can't sleep??? LOL How do you find this stuff??? LOL I think the big snails are cool & I have never heard them described in quite that manner before. LOL
