Uploading Pictures
Comments (2)You cannot upload directly to this site; you do have to use Photobucket or Flickr or another photo storage site. Some users here, in my experience, can't view photos uploaded to the photo site tinypic (ie. Jeff cannot), so I recommend the other two options. For people who aren't too computer-savy, I think Photobucket is easiest because it'll give you the direct URLs to your images. Once you have the picture uploaded to Photobucket or whatnot, to place it in a post, you'd use the "img src" HTML code for photos... (just remove the space before img -- while keeping img and src separate words) and then place the direct URL to the image inside quotation marks--so "URL HERE" Photobucket should give the direct link/URL to your image if you're in your Photobucket album and place your cursor over the desired image. and, without a space, end with (just remove the two spaces) We have the dumb spaces because the moment you start to type HTML coding here, the site will want to convert it into an image or link, etc....See MoreWhy we can not upload more than one picture in a post ?
Comments (15)> And since you and grubby made such a big deal above about where my photos were from⦠I didnâÂÂt make a big deal; I simply explained that your 4 photos were NOT uploaded from your computer, as some were thinking from your confusing first post. And yes, your post WAS confusing, because out of 6 people who posted here, 4 were confused; they though itâÂÂs possible to upload more than one picture from computer - which is not possible. They though there is aâÂÂtrick.â Michael wrote: > I'll have to try your preview trick Dave, thanks for that! seysonn wrote: > I have tried doing that trick. But won't work. grubby_me wrote: > Yep, the preview and add trick is totally fake. And I wrote: > There is NO trick⦠[ I knew that AFTER I tried too the trick. ] > But since photos play only a minor secondary role on a discussion forum anyway⦠Well, some would like to post pictures in a sequence, and being able to upload more than one picture from the computer, is useful / faster for some. > ...minor secondary role... ? Sometimes a picture IS necessary to help somebody who asks a question. See posts when people who want to help, request pictures. Comments (19)My question is after I have loaded my pics in Photobucket then how do I get them here? Thanks Donna H....See MoreNana, here are some sample uploads.
Comments (10)Good to know, Karen. I can drag and drop pictures to my Photobucket folders so it surprised me that it won't work with this site. As I said before, this is all so new that I'm not sure if these little glitches are my fault or the site's. That's why I'm posting what I can't accomplish as well as what I can. If no one else can drag and drop, then we can tell the site administrator and have her/him look into it. I pretty much always save my images as jpg too, so that's not a problem for me either. After I read your comment above, I went to your Inspiration Pictures reminder Post and bookmarked it (I didn't know what you were referring to when I first read it.) Now that I've done that, what or where do I look to find my bookmarked posts?...See MoreDytecture
