Though I didn't watch the whole video, in my opinion, these types of things are at worst a marketing ploy and at best, a cute conversation piece for your back patio. Like calling a Chia Pet a house plant. They are green. They grow. But they are not in the same league as that ficus in the corner. If you have the space and want a serious garden, you will get a significantly bigger yield per plant if you stick with traditional planting methods (your 5-gallon bucket, in this case). But if you don't have the space, or just like to tinker with things that are fun and unusual, this is a cute idea.

Punk, That's sweet of you to "feel my pain." Actually, I've often thought about making chair covers for Christmas (and the 4th of July as well.). I started a collection of the chairs when we were a young couple. I'd get two every three or four month when they went on sale. They been used at First Communions, birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, and even one party where a young woman was sworn into the California State Bar. (My neice is a judge and she swore in my best friend's daughter.) My friends just come by and pick them up whenever they need them. They have served us well, but they are so terribly industrial looking, and I especially notice it when they're used inside at Christmas. I think I shall vow to make a set for Christmas and for the Fourth, as I always use them on those two holidays. Hey! That might be my New Years Resoltuion.

These deposits were originally worked by Native Americans long before Europeans arrived. This is one of the very few places on earth where native copper is found. Native copper is the metal itself sometimes alloyed with a bit of silver. Most other occurrences of copper are compounds of copper such as copper-sulfate, etc. Our rock hound club (from Wisconsin) has hunted for copper specimens in that area. Hello neighbor.
