Knowing some of your travel history, I would have to agree with xero about the origin of the beautiful plants... how fortunate you are to be able to visit and enjoy. Rather, how fortunate we are that you have shared all of these with us. TFS all of these beautiful plants... now go out and get a real camera... a Nikon...LOL Only because I'm a 40+ year die-hard Nikon guy! My first Nikon was one of the original film type cameras. Boy am I an old f@&%!

Cripe, I want a Cannon so much. My Nikon's old and not great. So sorry about the accident. That's a heartbreak.

Aaaaagh you've got H. c. v. venusta, which shouldn't surprise me, but lucky, lucky you! And it's so mature! And the H. bayeri seedlings are fantastic. Dammit, I want that plant so. It's awesome and depressing simultaneously to see what's out there!

H. groenwaldii I've never seen pictured before, so that's great to see.

Getting a cannon would blow me away, too.

I've still not figured out my PAS Sony DSC-H50 completely (signed up and paid for a course with it, though), and Nikon / Canon, I'm not choosy, would be my choice for a DSLR.

Colleen, I hope to see those in person in the next few months, as Ryan has volunteered to escort me for a day out without the restraints.

Oh, I figured he'd have you in the straight jacket for the tour. He's so trusting, that boy, to go without the restraints.

My 6 month old Nikon just turned over/reset to zero (10k pix+), after having a Canon. Hubby bought Nikon as a surprise BD gift. I like them both. Had to learn different buttons. Need a class on how to use, though.

Gorgeous specimens, all! I would love to own them! There's a whole section on Nishi Haws in my book that I drool over. I look forward to visiting Steve Hammer's place again. Succulent overload, for sure! :D

Hey, y'all! Just wanted to update... my camera got fixed! I took it down to our local camera shop and they readjusted the lens in, seriously, 30 seconds! They weren't even going to charge me but I was so happy, I gave the guy ten bucks anyway. So, here's a new photo. Howard should recognize this one. Look at how plump it is!

Kathi, thanks! Glad to share, especially glad to grab the attention of a peripheral viewer. My wife is not as fascinated as I am but she's definitely come to appreciate the beauty of our plants. Also, she now knows lots of Latin names by sheer proximity.
