Diagnose these spots on my tomato leaves (PICS)

I am a rookie tomato grower looking for some answers. I transplanted tomatoes from pots into the ground two weeks ago. Today I noticed that what I first thought was dirt is actually something growing on my tomato leaves

Also on another tomato plant I have been trying to pick off suckers every once in a while, but I noticed this sucker looks like it has flower buds on it (circled in red). Should I pick it off?

I don't know what the brown spots are, it may just be cell death from transplanting. Your plant looks healthy to me.

In California we don't need to remove the "suckers" from our tomatoes. It gets so hot here most people want as much foliage as possible so that the plants shade the fruit and they don't get sunscald. I would not pick off anything that looks like it could be a flower.

Don't remove the "suckers" please..

The browning spots can be from cold+water on the leaves, but if it continues try treating for Potato Russet Mites which are common in CA.

It's watered deeply about once a week. Osmocote was applied about three months ago. It has been developing new growth lately, which looks healthy and has a few lemons which have been green for a long time (more than a month?)

Is it just me or is that tree 'telephone poled' ? A buried root flare can put the tree under stress that can lead to other problems. Giving your general location (big city name) and usda zone also helps people diagnose problems. ' samples to your local extension service office ' Why didn't I mention that! :^)

Yes as Linda said. Spidermites. They love hot weather and are basically invisible to the eye. Hard to control at this time of year.

Dark spots are most likely transplant stress -- occurred a while ago.

Russet mites are tpically a late season pest for tomatoes in CA.
