I'm curious: what do people who have so many books they can't store them DO with them? Do you realllly read them again? Why do you save them? And related to that: do you not have collections or objects that you want to keep on display? What do you do with them?

I have a fair number of books but when I moved recently, I took the time to weed out lots of books I had read and knew I would not be using/referencing again. It made the local library very happy because they knew they would sell well at the next book sale. At the same time, I've been able to display some things I've collected over the years that are lovely and were hidden (tho on shelves) in unused rooms before. Seems to me that what you collect/display is every bit as important as books in saying who you are and what's important to you. And the shelves look great!

Downsizing, I was forced to pass on to the library hundreds of books. I had so many because I used many in my writing and teaching career in literature. Unfortunately in the past six months I have had to replace over fifty of them because the need recurs. Good luck.
