OT: POTD Canna Picasso

Another Day....Another picture and well wishes that you are having a great Day.

Weather report...HOT HOT HOT.

So I could post a picture of the blooming Candida double white Brug, but I am hoping that the next blooms are not burned looking with their 1st skirt. I missed the moment when I started to water this one in the afternoon also. It is after all in full afternoon sun.

Next best thing is this dark yellow Canna Picasso. {{gwi:498135}}From Picture of the Day for June 09

Siam because you studied so hard....and when I look at Canna's. your love to them comes to mind....I hope it will get seeds and they come true to seeds. The first ones are YOURS!

AWW Lucy, thanks so much , you are such a great friend. But canna picasso does not grow true from seeds lol. :)

From the pic i can see your canna is very healthy. Nice canna.

Lucy, that is a pretty canna. I have some yellow short ones that were in this new yard and they started blooming yesterday too.

Wow! Isn't it great to start thinking of anotehr garden season!!! For a change I actually got to just a bit of the cleanup this past fall. Can't do it right now as its all covered with 3-4' snowdrifts.....out of sight, out of mind - LOL Lucy- glad you got to have Maddy over the wknd. Our G'son is just a block away but now at (almost)10 spends more time w chums than G'ma and I. Pulling into the driveway last night I could see him running home...all flailing elbows and knees in snowgear and boots...never walks, always running. Paused in the drive to watch-LOL. What a joy they are! All the projects remind me of similar needs in my yard but I think I'm going to be investing most of my money in larger containers for all the cuttings which were shared with me this fall.....on top of the 'herd' I already had accumulated. Yaaayyy. Maybe I've 'turned the corner' with both my bronchitis and attitude. Y'all have gotten me ready to start thinking about 2010 much more postively. Will

Bob, there are way to many to pick just ONE BEST picture :-) Kylie, I am SO busy with trying to get everything ready for the vacation....Thinking about you a lot and the great time we had. Hopefully AFTER the vacation I will have a life again and can get in touch with you. Until then, potted up the Cuttings today because I do not want hubby to deal with cuttings in water. Siam thanks. I did keep and eye on this one during the summer. They had some stress and all plants in that area were really light light green. Gave them some ironite and the canna also has normal leaves by now. Could that be? I sure hope that I do not have the canna virus. I do know about it. Thanks again for pointing it out. Ingrid I guess it is some sort of a lily. After I am sure there are no fireant hills around that area...I go look and see if there is a tag. Lucy
