Comments (15)Anne, your husband and my husband will get along very well! :) My husband does the same thing. I have a spot right off the garage (a basket) for him to lay his keys and wallet and instead he walks right into the kitchen to lay it on my tiny island that is always cluttered! Those men! My office is out of the way, thankfully. I plan to increase the size to 1 foot bigger each way so it will be 6 1/2 feet by 6 1/2 feet. Here is the picture of my pocket office off the kitchen, but not visible, with a door :) ......See MoreShow me your make-up area!
Comments (5)Have you considered just adding a little table on the bottom wall with a chair that tucks underneath? If you don't need access to the bottom linen closet, you could do that. Wouldn't have to move any plumbing, so it would be easier and cheaper....See MoreMy Beautiful Christmas Cactus. Show Off Yours!
Comments (18)How gorgeous Socks, looks to be a 'true' Xmas cactus, cool you found white (maybe it'll be light yellow or light pink?) But these plants seem to do better in plastic than clay. If mine, I'd wait 'til after it's done blooming & repot it back to plastic. Also, these have light & airy roots, in nature these grow in the branches of trees w/ no soil, just bits of leaf debris & whatever else might blow on by. Given that, I would not use rock top dressing, too heavy on the roots. That style seems to be more for arid land succulents, not tropical cacti. It looks lovely, but not sure it's good for the plants' roots....See MoreI'll Show your Mine if you Show me Yours
Comments (10)murraysmom, we had a full fledged blizzard here last night. It had been raining then snowing since late afternoon, but by a little after 9pm. the wind and snow began big time. It was a white-out for the cars on the highway beyond, they had their flashers on. It continued for 45min. then the wind finally died down. This morning there was at least 3" of snow on the ground and the road out front was ice. Now temp is going up so ice is gone and I see green patches coming out from beneath the snow. The daffodils are flattened. The almanac had called for a blizzard at the end of March, so they weren't far off....See MoreGrantgarden2 Zone 5a/b
