What is your favorite brug for 2009 season :)
Comments (20)Nice to meet ya rosepedal. Phoenix thanks for the nod on my new Harlot x Mon Amour. It's still too early to pass judgement on her yet I need to see a true flush before I will give her the final release. I have several more seedling that will be blooming for the first time within the next couple of months. One cross, Peanut x Rothkirch has me really excited. I sure hopes she pans out. She definitely has the genes behind her to produce something nice....but I've seen my share of disappointments with seedlings. All you can do is start with good stock parents, feed them well and hope for the best!...See MoreWant a deep yellow gold brug with great scent that likes shade!
Comments (5)granjan, I also ordered the "Cuban Gold" and Seed Sprout e-mailed me back to say, after the hurricane she had not updated her inventory as of yet and does not have "Cuban Gold" at this time for sale.So I opted for "Creamsickle".Hope you find something you'll like.***Suzanne...See MorePoll... Which scent do you prefer.. Dats or Brugs?
Comments (17)I think that it may be possible that some people have a genetic disposition to either pick up or not pick up the scent of Datura or Brugmansia. I can keenly smell the fragrance of a Datura bloom, and have a nose for the pungent odor which the foliage of either releases when disturbed, but I have never picked up a scent from a Brugmansia's flower. My mother, on the other hand, is quite sensitive to the aroma of Brugmansia's blooms, but cannot detect the scent of a bruised leaf from Brugmansia. In this way, I am inclined to favour the scent of Datura over Brugmansia, but only because I simply do not have a nose for the latter. I did get a sensation from a Brugmansia x candida (double white) once, however. Alas, I must agree that double Daturas release little, if any, scent....See Morewhat are your favorite white or light scented flowers?
Comments (5)I like a valerian called Sweet Kathi which is available from Flower Scent Gardens. (The customer comment they include is mine.) This is a perennial. It has pinkish-white flowers with a lovely sweet scent that wafts a very long way, especially when there's a breeze.
