Bug..What is it? Good or bad?

Found a bunch of these guys on an 'Ecuador Pink'. They are all very busy mating. At first glance I thought Colorado Potato Bettles, but I don't think so..What are they, and are they good or bad? Maybe this is what's been eating my brugs? ANyone else have these guys?

Looks like some sort of unwanted beetle. I'd pick them off and look for any eggs.

Posting porno?? You?? OMG! I have to agree with Karyn - looks like some type of beetle. Maybe a 'cucumber beetle' & they love roses & dahlias! It could be a 'potato beetle' & they LOVE & are generally found on solanaceous plants. Yes - on your brugs! :)

It's very difficult to notice the damage from most piercing-sucking insects, especially if they're concentrated on stems or floral structures like they are on this corn plant. Those critters look like a froghopper of some kind. They have needlelike mouthparts which they use to pierce plant tissues and then suck the sap out. I doubt very much that your diatomaceous earth applications will be of much help in controlling these insects. Since I don't know the species, I'm not sure what this froghopper wants. If they're just on the stems, I'd not worry too much about them unless you start seeing them by the hundreds.

Yup, I have tentatively chosen cork now that I have 5 bad discs. But I also recommend strength-based therapy and hip mobility work to actually fix the bad back and knees. I can stand on tile now with no problems. (But I won't use it because I HATE GROUT WITH A PASSION.)

Well I am never quick to do anything it seems. I didn't realize I had started the thread as it says " last year". Anyway after obsessing and trying to find thee one.... I am really close to pulling the trigger. I know there are a lot of very fine brands out there that offer good value, but I am just a bit too chicken to coordinate ordering this stuff remotely and having it delivered here. I have done that with furniture and its fine but I cannot fathom doing it for lvp. (that's my issue). I actually had someone come to measure and give an estimate and am having one more come in a few days so at least I will have a ballpark idea of what will be involved for real in my situation. I am 95% going with CoreTec at this point and will be getting it from a local store. Their price is decent- not stellar but decent. They have a good reputation and I just don't want to spend thousands and have the manufacturer not stand behind it. I sincerely hope I don't need the manufacture to stand behind it, but it's a concern I have. To the best of my understand, the wear layer is a key component. Some say at least 12 mil is good. I am going for 20. That's my elimination process. I started out looking for super pale and uniform in color and have kind of evolved to medium tone and varied color. It's an adventure.

Yes, I have both Perigold and Wayfair, Perigold is the one that I have a problem with, be careful of Bait and Switch After numerous orders from Perigold I have determined that what you order is not what you get. I clearly ordered 1 box of tile and the site clearly states that you get 10 pieces per box. When I get the order, I receive 1 piece of tile and not 1 box. This has happened to me 5 times. When I go back into the site, they have changed the site, stating that tile is purchased individually. I have screen shots of when I made the order saying that the tile is purchased by the carton, and you get 10 pieces per box and the box is X amount per box. I even ordered 2x directly through the Sales Agent asking for sure how the tile was sold Individually or by the Carton and they confirmed that it was by the carton, I have all the documentation on all my orders. So, for example, I ordered 3 cartons @ $80 PER CARTON, I would receive 3 pieces AT $80 PER PIECE. It's crazy and for sure a Bait and Switch Scam. I have even documentation that the site keeps an audit of every single change that they have made to the system. I just want what I purchased at the price that I paid for it! WATCH OUT!

lmao Mike, yeah buggy orgies are my new obsession!!! You're right!! I googled cucumber beetle, and it is a "striped cucumber beetle" bad bad bad. I'm gonna go kill them now. I don't care if they are doing the deed or not..hey, 2 in one shot aint bad. O my poor roses and the new dahlias are gonna be next!

LOL Mary. The only ones I was actually able to catch so far we the ones that were ..ahem..shall we say 'busy'. lol.
All the others flew away! They'd stop, look at me, see me bending down and be gone. I need something I can spray on them instead of trying to catch them with my hands and a jar. I'm in bug hell today I tell ya. I noticed my Maid Of Orleans jasmine was lookin really crappy all of a sudden..I looked in the pot and it is absolutely infested with ants. I tried drowning them, but wasnt too successful. I'm out of Raid, and not going to the store today. I think I am just gonna plant her in the ground. Also went to plant the last couple brug cuttings I had that really didnt seem to be doing anything, they were dead. Completely hollow and the stems and pots were filled with ants.
I hate bugs. And its only May..sigh
I want to live in a bio-dome where there are no bad bugs. Just pretty butterflies, dragonflies, ladybugs..nice bugs.

Daniella, quick kill them! I had the same beetles and they were eating a couple of my brugs very fast. Forgot the name, but someone on GW i.d. them. Karma said to dust them with .... something. Anyway, each day knock them off and kill them because they do multiple quickly and they will eat the leaves off your brugs!

Try Sevins dust. It kept them off my tomatoes last year.
