Front yard landscape done --- but new weeds!!!

Our front yard landscaping job was finished several weeks ago.

Most of it has a thick bark mulch. The only areas not mulched are where the blue fescue was planted en masse as a ground cover, and where creeping Thyme is planted between the flagstone. The Fescue are planted just a few inches apart so no landscape fabric or mulch was applied between the plants.

Now we're finding oxalis coming up not only in the bare soil, but also right IN the plants (the latter probably germinated at the nursery). ARGH!!!

Yesterday, we found clover (the leaves are a light burgundy color) coming up from the very base of a Daylily ---- we NEVER had clover in our yard.

We are trying to stay on top of the weeds and pull them as we see them. I'm just wondering if this is par for the course after a major landscaping job, and if we should call the landscaper about the new weeds introduced into our yard by nursery plants, but Hubby says no. I think the landscaper was already irritated enough by our request to replace the Photinia shrubs he planted too close to the house....
