whacked and repotted my jade at the same time

I've had my jade plant for 15 years and when I bought it from a nursery in Tallahassee, they said it was at least 10 years old. I've repotted it a few times and pruned it conservatively. In the past few years it's become overgrown with long limbs. On the first nice day of spring I decided to repot it. While moving and manipulating this large and unwieldy plant, I lost a lot of branches so I decided to prune it. One thing led to another and it's a total whack job. With no roots and few leaves I'm VERY afraid I may have been too aggressive. It's only been about 24 hours and the leaves are beginning to curl. Also since the plant is so large and heavy, over the years I began to position it deeper and deeper into the pot so the sides can support the branches. Is this bad? This is my first time on a forum and I can't figure out how to upload pictures. I want to show before and after pics to get your feedback. I love this plant in a way most people can't understand. Please help...
