Must be all that fresh air! I was the same way the past couple of nights very restless sleep, then up at 4:30AM. I was out working all over the place, weeding ,raking,mulching,cleaning out my pond.I buried one of my biggest goldfish.:( Oh well, the butterfly bush will love it.Thought I would sleep great. No such luck.

Wow! Daniella you have spring fever!!! Boy you did alot and your not even tired. Well I am taking my 12yr paintballing in the morning and we are going to spend the whole day at the paintball park. He better watch out cause Big Daddy is coming after him!!!LOL.Hahahahahahaha(Evil laugh);0)

I hate that crap. My neighbors hit golf balls in my yard. Actually killed a chicken one time. Ya dont ask. They do it when im not home. Like they fell from the sky or something. Let me catchem I show them a southern girl plays golf and it wont be Purtty! And yes Ill use a golf club if it makes anyone feel better. lol

Wow, you did do a lot. I was like that last weekend just wanted to go and go but I ran out of juice, lol. I bet your pond with the waterfall is going to be really great. I still haven't gotten electricity out back dang it. I wish I could do all of it myself still. Hubby surprised me with a truck load of the landscaping retaining wall kind of rocks. Man those suckers were heavy. I was glad to have the help unloading them but wish he wouldn't have insisted we place them right the second we got home. He found them on craigslist and went and picked them up dirt cheap. I was really happy about that but I don't much like his design for the bed he made me do. I will try to take a pic tomorrow so I can get some other opinions. It looks backwards to me. We still have to till it up and level them but he wanted to put them down and spraypaint an outline to follow and then move them back in when its level. There were about 85 of them and I was nine short to do the rings around the trees and the bed. I had 6 more in the back but they were a different color. Both terra cotta but made by different companies go figure. I still have to limb up those 2 big trees up there before we finish it too. I don't want limbs to fall on my plants later. I could choke the guy that was supposed to come and remove the trees up against the foundation. He never showed up and they are messing up my plans, lol. I think we are going fishing tomorrow. Must be why he got me the bricks so I wouldn't make him do yard work tomorrow, lol. Talk to you all later. Get some sleep there will be more to do tomorrow, lol. Hope your back feels better after a hot bath!

SLept like a rock lasty night, lol. Thanks, my back is fine this morning. Had our first drowning victim..poor lil mouse drown in the rain water that collected in the bottom of one of the ponds last night. water was too low for him to be able to climb to the plant shelf. he was so cute, poor thing.

Congrats on the rock surprise Kristy. Isnt it funny how 85 seems like so much, and then it's not enough, lmao. I hate that. That sux the colors dont match up on your existing ones & new ones. I agree to def get the branches done asap.
I hope the waterfall looks good..I'm nervous its gonna look like crap by time I'm done, and not look anything like I wanted in my head. It's not a grand thing, not big at all. Just 2 preforms, & a skippy filter, but I'd rather start small to learn how things go ya know?

Theresa, I'm sorry about your goldfish, that sux. I did that last year with a Plecostomus, so I know how ya feel. I was so carefully taking the rocks out of the bottom, and somehow missed him. He got buried in the rock pile. My son and I couldnt understand where he went..then we saw the bee buzzing aroun the rocks.
The lotus isn't visible right now thanks to puppy muckin up the water, lol. But yesterday when I checked it, it looked a lil longer, and is getting reddish kinda splotchies on one side. Is this normal, or bad? It reminds me of tulips, cannas, callas, how certain ones have that red to their leaves. But no actual leaves yet. I'll let ya know when she pops open!

daniellalell, sounds like spring fever has hit there and ya got to teach those animals to stay out of the beds! The sooner you get all this done, the sooner you can sit back and watch it all grow. Isn't it fun to change your yard and so rewarding when it's all done.
We are in the process of change here and the sooner it gets done the more we will enjoy! I can almost see my driveway now!! Our project this weekend is removal of huge trees, wisteria and arborvite so our new fence can go in. Then I can up up my clematis structure and watch them grow!

Whoa, lots to do! we're getting high 80s and low 90s now, so its getting a bit hot out while i do yardwork. Do it while it's 70 and not as hot.

The past couple days have been beautiful, in the 70's and I've been thoroughly enjoying them. Who wants to be inside when we can finally be outside without a jacket on, especially because the temps are supposed to drop tomorrow : ( I've cleaned up a bit but haven't been nearly as industrious as you. DH is having an open house/design show tomorrow and he's been busy with that. I need more muscle then I have for a lot of the yardwork. You want to take a drive over here and work in my yard? lol Actually I'm going to have to hire someone. The guy that takes care of my Mom's yard did my yard last year. He brought a crew of 5 guys and it still took them about 5 hours to finish the weeding and spread mulch. This year won't be as bad.

Karma, the puppy has been pretty good today..but only when I am watching, lol. If I am outside and the garden gate is open, she goes over, looks at me, then I say 'hey outta there' and she goes. SHe's learning..thank god! It IS fun changing stuff around. I moved my dirt piles into the garden where I havent tilled yet, the 'new' area, lol. so she can't dig in them anymore, lol. New fence eh? Gotta keep that peeper out, lol. Hey Kylie, Karma's got a spring peeper! lmao! How is that going by the way, with that nosey ol' neighbor?

CC it is supposed to be a high of 75 here today, then tomorrow 55, seems like the extended forecast says mid 50's to upper 60's for the next few days. Perfect working conditions. I dont mind doing it when it's hot, can always jump in the pool to cool off!

Kylie, lol, I am trying to take pix, my camera has a mind of its own lately, and only works when it wants. I have a few so far, but I am gonna wait till I have more, then make a slideshow so I can post w/the whole time line thang.

Karyn, If you were closer I would def come and help! I can't get enough. I used to help my mom all the time b4 she moved to PA. I did all her digging. Ugh, I havent even gotten mulch yet. I keep forgetting to call the town and see when they are putting out their free stuff. My luck it came and went already, lol.
When you hire people to come work in your yard, do you watch them like a hawk? lol, I know I would be..I'd be makin sure they didnt screw anything up.

I didn't get home til late. The fish were biting good today so hubby wants to go again tomorrow but after looking at the forecast I need to move plants back inside all day that aren't already in the ground. Boooo hoooo! He might have to go by himself then he will moan and complain about me buying the pergola, lol. They never wrote me back about going to see it tomorrow so it may have sold already. You can come dig for me anytime, lol. Need a plane ticket? Lol.

Hey everyone we had a great time paintballin on saturday, spent the whole day with DS and two of his friends. He really had a great time. Now too get the backyard ready for next weekends birthday party.

Well today I woke up eary and decide to build my own garden type arch for my jamsnie vine. The one I had was old and broke.Spent the whole day building this arch and moved some of the potted plants back into the shop and the garage.Tomorrow I will paint the garden arch white and get the jasmine vine onto the garden arch. This was a very slow process since I woke up sore all over from paintballin with DS. I am sore in places I have never been sore. Ouch!!! :0(
