Losing the aphid war-should I strip the leaves?

I'm about ready to give up. I had it under control till the last while. For some reason, after I had bathed every single cutting and rooted plant, brushing the leaves, using soap and alcohol, the aphid population just exploded. It's like the alcohol gave them beer goggles, and they just went to town! I keep spraying, and they keep reproducing. I'm thinking of stripping all the leaves off, and throwing them out to the cold to kill the aphids. But...is this going to damage the brugs? They don't go out permanently for another month to month and a half. But, if the weather cooperates (which it doesn't seem to want to do), in a couple weeks they;ll be going out during the day at least. I'm just wondering if it would be easier in the long run to strip all the leaves now? Some of them are growing really well, and I hate to ruin that. They are completely out of any dormancy, and in growing mode. But the aphids are starting to get to all my tomato seedlings, peppers, etc. Driving me nuts!!!

Thoughts???
