Anyone have cherub & santa rosa?

I would like to get cuttings or plants this spring for fall blooms. I want to get them together if possible. Anyone know who might have both of these for trade or sale right now?

The link is to my hubbys trade list but its not up to date as hes not online much any more. But he says most should still be available for me to trade.

First fruits are sometimes small and bland even when soft. Better to pluck them off and allow the tree to grow more. Ripening time in the south can be a month sooner than the north. It also depends on where your trees are planted. My asian plums bloom with my peaches. Asian plums normally bloom a couple weeks ahead of peaches. My asians are planted along a tree line so they don't bloom too early in the season and get frost bite.

Suzie if you ever want to just fool a round a bit with hybridizing in the future you should go with Sanata Rosa. Santa Rosa is a brug by JT sessions and is a hardy brug. It's a pod sister to one of my all time favorite brus which is Velvet Rose. The cross of Santa Rosa is Pink Beauty x Ecuador Pink. Both of these brugs have a great reputation for heavy flushes and durability. Cherub which is Parks Seeds big secret. They never disclosed what was crossed to make this brug. The parentage remains to this day, according to the databases i have checked remains "unknown"...so, to answer your question it seems like both brugs will give lots of flowers but only one of them has a background worthy of trying to cross one day if you ever get the bug....Santa Rosa

Salvia brandegeei - Santa Rosa Island sage

Nice shots of brandegei. Looks like the Torrey Pine Grove at Sta Rosa Is. Love this species. It like the Torrey Pines is limited to this island and to coastal so cal/no baja. The leaves are very unique and if resembled my any other species it would be eremostachya. I have an old specimem that I planted in 1996, I think, and i just measured it across at 22 feet. It's a giant now living under a dead Atlas Cedar. (I need to remove the cedar but the birds still use it and I fear for the integrity of my treasured brandegei.) The folks at Sta Barbara Bot Garden strongly suspect that "Pacific Blue" is a brandegei x munzi hybrid and i would tend to agree. PB has leaves that resemble brandegei but are much smaller as well as the dimensions of the plant, which is fairly compact like munzi. My garden is about 2.5 miles from the coast and I've never offered it supplemental H2O. According to an expert at Rancho Santa Ana Bot Garden, brandegei will bloom almost any time of year given some supplemental water. Here is a link that might be useful: Salvia brandegei

Kohler Santa Rosa Toilet

Does anyone have experience with the Kohler Santa Rosa Toilet model 3810 with the AquaPiston flushing system? We need a compact toilet for bathroom renovation. The older Santa Rosa model has the older flushing system. Some say it is quiet but not as strong. I have read Terry Love's toilet reviews and he loves Toto, but the posts are several years old. Any more recent experience with this newer Kohler flushing technology? I have heard the Gerber Viper is great but I don't know if I can bear to look at another toilet. Chime in Please!

Hi Kylie, thanks for the welcome :-). I checked out JT already & he only has one of the 2 that I want. I dont have a trade list set up. I have some 4 o clocks seeds, bearded iris noids, several named daylilies, & several sedum & hydrangea cuttings.

Our brugs froze to the ground & are just now starting to grow again. So I dont have any cuttings, all I have is charles girmaldi plants in 4" pots. Hubby is going to help me set up my trade list so check it out later!
