Comments (5)i dont know the ID .. but i am not much impressed ... worried .. about leaf browning.. in the heat of, or in late summer ... whatever it is.. the retained heat of sidewalks and rock.. is probably causing the plant to transpire more water than its roots in the hot soil can pump every night ... it would either need increased proper watering ... or being moved ... see... really doesnt matter what it is .. BTW .. the affected leaves will not recover ... and i really dont care.. if some secondary problem attacks an already damaged leaf ... stuff happens... and most of it never requires treatment ... its very important.. to include.. in every post.. where you are ... as i suspect..as a new home owner.. there will be more posts ... ken...See MoreHelp identify the disease/pest affecting my apple tree
Comments (4)I see nothing wrong with your tree that would require any treatment. There are some blemishes on the leaves but that looks more physiological than any sort of disease or insect problem. There might have been some early aphid activity but don't see any sign of them now - aphids often attract ants. Regardless of the cause, the tree will be fine. FYI, the Bonide sulphur spray is intended to be used as a fungicide. It will have no affect on any insect problems, should they arise. Any apples the tree produces should be fine.
