That family tree can't be right, though. I guess it's just to give the names of the genera, not to demonstrate their relationships.

Y'know, something like that would be very useful if it were accurate, Paul. I can't remember which of the talks at the Extravaganza covered the relationships and relative place on the evolutionary scale of the various subfamilies and genera-- I think it was Theresa Bert's, do you remember, Bob? Anyway, it was hard to follow all of the details, and a chart hand-out would have been helpful. This one has members of different subfamilies on the same branch, though! That ain't right.......

Thank you for advice Lisa I still learning some information of Bromeliad many of Bromeliad for me very hard to remember many difference of Bromeliad. New name new group still organize for easy remember maybe we can share some idea to make more easy to know about Bromeliad. Love to hear you voice LisaÂ..

Yes,it was Theresa Bert that gave that Evolution of Bromeliads talk. And as for me,I found it very informative.
I'm trying to remember where [I think] I once saw a 'Tree of bromeliad evolution' drawing,but it was some years ago.
I'll check my old books and see if I can come up with it.
It may have been something else tho. At any rate,it sure would be an interesing topic,and a good educational tool,especially for newcomers.
