Congrats on the new plants, and sorry about the loss. I love ZZ plants--they're so lovely and durable. In fact, they are now my default choice as homewarming/thank you/congratulations/get well plant gifts. I just tell non-gardening recipients to plop it anywhere but full sun and water it deeply once a month. So far they've all had great success. You probably already know, but you can root them from a single leaflet. It's fun. Just rip one off and stick it in a glass that has just an inch of water in it. Give it bright light and keep it warm and it'll root eventually. Once they do, I pot them up and they make a round tuber. In their first winter the single leaf may shrivel, but water the pot as always and the first spring they send up a true leaf stalk with leaflets. Fun and easy if you're not in a hurry. I will have blooms this summer. You can't go wrong buying from him. I am going to order my second order as soon as I find out what else he has in his greenhouse, besides double peach. He sent me 3 plants, and they did not even know they were moved. They are now in pots, waiting to go to the coast. I love my plants. I hope you will be able to get what you want. Well I'm exhausted from planting tons of stuff, mowing, weed eatting, pulling weeds in the iris and daylily beds. Just when I thought I was going to be "caught up" the mail lady brought me two huge boxes of daylilies that I had ordered and paid for in Feb. Thank God I had already paid for them, they cost a fortune. Now I have two more huge boxes of daylilies to soak and plant. Took me half the day to water all the brugs I planted last week. So far, knock on wood, they are all doing GREAT in the ground. I guess only time will tell. I still have my brug babies I grew from seeds to plant but I wanted to wait another week or so to do that. A gardeners job is never done, and I guess that's a good thing as far as all of us are concerned. LOL. I'm going to try to get the liner in the pond/ hole in the front yard sometime this week. I'm tired of looking at the hole with the huge bolders all around it. LOL I'm just about ready for some of those pond plants everyone is/was going to share with me. Things are really beginning to shape up around here. I made me 3 arbors for vines to grow up today too. Of course the hardest part for me was driving the t post into the ground. That's hard work for an old lady. LOL Other than that I didn't do too much, just sat and watched the birds, fish, butterflies, frogs and so forth. All in all a delightfully painful day. Hi!! new to posting here, but I am sharing your frustration over GSTs. I just ordered 3 more from Shady Oaks, and two bit it by the time I got up this morning. I thought maybe a tiny spider was getting the one itty bitty, but I couldnt see too well, but it may have been another cat I saw balled up over him. Thinking it was a spider, I swatted it away. So I have one lone cat left, just like last time. The last one got really big, and I guess he finally wandered off to pupate. But he sure didnt move much. So I will watch the one ittbitty. I did get some really huge PVSTs. I have never seen one! I really hope they pupate alright. And after being so sad over not getting any BSTs on my very lush fennel, I ordered some along with this order, and presto! new hatched cats! Oh and GF when just hatched look like short little yellow strings. Then they get red. I watch them munching out my kitchen window.The funny thing also is my mom thought I was insane when I started getting into this, so that my then 5 yo son could see the lifecycle, after awhile, and taking her to Shady oaks for the tour, she absolutley loves it too now. This is addictive. They're like my little babies!!--Traci
