Another succulent ID

The plant in the middle with the fleshy, veined leaves any one have any idea what it could be? I posted 2 pictures of it taken from slightly different angles.

Dear Julie,

Since I don't know anything about them, other than a very passing recognition of their leaf shapes, how about a Peperomia?

I donÂt know what other info I can give you! I got it in a trade in exchange for some Hylocereus Undatus. The Man who gave it to me said it was difficult to come by since he had never seen another one like it. (And he runs a succulent store) He also said if it gets to tall to cut off the tip. I assumed this meant it should be bushy but IÂve tried pinching the tips and it just keeps growing up! I can tell you itÂs relatively fast grower.

I like your attitude (expect!) Yeah, it was a sad dead-ish looking thing laying on its' side at WM a couple months ago. I put it right in full sun (rude, I know, but that's the way I roll, buck up or hit the compost, clearance plant!) Left one main stem alone, cut the other 2 in pieces (result of which is what is pictured above, some new growth on one of those.) Now the one I didn't cut is standing up, also has pretty edges. Cutting already getting compliments. Aren't we lucky to have this plant?!

Thanks for your reply Rina! They weren't put out in sun immediately, no, the bigger one I bought about a month ago was sitting in the sun in the garden centre so if anything, it's getting less sun now than I suppose it did there! The spots don't wipe away either. I couldn't get a close enough picture to show clearly but the spots are right under the surface layer of the skin on the leaves. Like something bad is inside them, growing out. And yes! The yellow leaves are quite soft! Too much moisture it could be! Although the soil does dry up quickly here, the air is so dry as well as the sun beating down, I've dug up a little of the soil a few times to make sure it's completely dry before watering again and the sand in the soil seems more like grit or even glass than actual fine sand. Although I'm gonna just leave it there in the same place and not water it for a while to see what happens. In the conditions of my patio as described and with proper soil (I think I'll have a look for better soil...) how often do you think I should water it...? Thanks so much! (:

Hi Gina, no apologies needed:-) people her will chime in on the IDs, it's not a pain at all, and the list is a little less active because it's JUNE, yay, we are all out in the dirt:-) if you don't get a response soon, try this: repost your photos with numbers and just a short request for ID's. That makes it easier for folks to answer. usually you'll get several responses, with each person just IDing a couple plants, rather than one person doing it all. The numbers help make it easier for several folks to each focus on what they know best.

Dear Julie,

Since I'm woefully ignorant of Peperomia, even if you had additional information it wouldn 't help me ID it. Fortunately, I know there are other folk here who will be able to tell you if it is indeed a Pep and, if so, what species.

I'm afraid I have no idea what this is, but if you like strong light veining on a leaf, here is a link to my seedling Zehneria pallidinervia. They can become quite a greenhouse nuisance I hear, but I sure like the leaves. These are just 4 months from seed.

Hi Julie,

I'm sorry I can't suggest what this is, but I don't think it's a Peperomia. I've grown several over the last few years & in my experience, the growth habit is either in clusters (from a central clump like a loose rosette) or leaves in pairs. I personally don't know of a Pep which has alternate leaves like that. Of course it could be such exists & I've not run across it yet, but I think it's something else.

Whatever it is, those leaves are quite pretty w/ that distinct veining, VERY nice.
