HELP! Top 5 Nectar Plants for Southern California

pharoah

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and would love to attract an abundance of butterflies to my back yard. I've seen plenty of skippers and Cabbage butterflies along with a few Morning Cloak but I am REALLY interested in Swallowtails, Monarchs, and anything else exotic and large.

I recently planted Tropical Milkweed and Buddleia. Please give me a few more sure-fire butterfly magnets for the types I have listed.

Other than the Milkweed, I am more interested in Nectar plants than hosts.

All help is greatly appreciated,

Thanks,

Tony
