Can I please have someone ID this plant?

I've had this plant now for about a year, and I bought it unlabeled from a store. Even the nursery employee couldn't tell me exactly what it was, just that it's an aloe. I'd be grateful if you could help me pinpoint what it is (: Sorry in advance for the poor photo quality.

I think it's an Aloe saponaria.

Thank ye muchly. That would've been quite the shock if used like Aloe Vera, which is what I orginally thought it was (:

One could check/confirm by looking for a geniculum on the petiole of those larger leaves. Homalomena would have that, Philo does not. Philo scandens can make larger leaves like these.

I am looking around here for pics of gardens. I discovered the Cottage Garden Forum in June, and post there a lot. When I first saw this, I recognized the flower someone had planted in a bed I took over gardening at church. It was my favorite flower in the patch, and then someone informed me I was growing a plant that is illegal to grow. I was very sad. It does look like a maculate Aloe (saponaria is probably the most common), but if the leaves have a hard, glossy, smooth feel to them, I suspect it is actually Aloe hemmingii (sometimes tagged as A. harlana). Mine grows slowly, and blooms in late summer or early fall with some direct sun outside.
