Mine sprouted quickly and are now between 2-3" in just three weeks! I've now planted them outside. Great and easy seeds to grow.

Mine are doing great, almost 4"..and I just got some more sown today. I wonder how tall do they get before they need something to climb on? O I hope they flower this year!! :)

mine also sprouted very quickly but they aren't growing very fast compared to my phaseolus. I hope they are Ok : )
I can't wait to see these bloom

Well mine are about 8 inches tall and they are doing just fine. I'm going to plant 3 each in a big pot and turn a tomato cage upside down on top of it so they can grow up it. It will kind of be shaped like a tee-pee. LOL

Someone said it takes 2 years for these to bloom. I was actually going to plant mine in the ground but someone also told me I should put them in a BIG pot...so I really don't know what's best for them but the first year I'm not going to risk losing them.

8 inches Marian! wow, how'd you manage that? Are you giving them MG or something?
I think I had mine too close to the lights? They threw out side shoots, only on one side, and are now growing upward again..is that normal?
Every other vine from seed i have going inside is trying to take over. Every day I have to put them back on their trellises..they just wanna climb on everything, especially the passies Karyn sent me. Lil tendrils grabbing everything they can, lol.

Hi Daniella, Actually what I've been giving them is African Violet plant food. LOL That's because it's handy sitting on the kitchen counter. 7 drops per quart of water.

I guess you could say I'm too lazy about somethings. I should be giving them something else. But they seem to be doing just fine. I'm planting them in BIG POTS this weekend.

Well Marian,..if it works, and obviously it does, then your laziness paid off, lol. Seems your doing a very good job with them.
I had AV food in my hand the other day when I was at HD, then put it back..now I wish I had bought it!

I moved mine farther away from the lights hoping they start poppin up more.

Just an example of how fast growing this vine is. Last week I noticed that my older plant was coming out of dormancy so I put it under the HID lights downstairs. (I usually allow them to grow throughout the winter but I didn't have the room this year so I kept it cut back to the soil) I took a look today and it has sent out shoots that are winding across the ceiling. That's easily at least 10' of growth in a week. Even a couple of the seedlings I started from Edna's seeds are wrapping themselves around plants in the GH.
