All are new to me except for Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd has a primary place in my hybridization efforts with Johnsonii as well as Amputo, Misty and Papilo.

Gosh! I do need to watch that movie again. I adore it. Being a Southern Bell, I guess I would, huh? I am such a Romantic. That's my major weakness as well as hippeastrum and all subtropicals!

Kristi- It isn't you that is bad...the bad one is that darn CHAD! He is tough to shake loose isn't he? HAHA

Goodness 53 and they are all very nice ones too. I have a bunch, but alot of cheapies...I still like 'em though!

Elizabeth_jb- I've never seen the movie all the way through...but growing up in the south too makes it somewhat relatable...LOL! I too love the subtropicals!

I bought a couple Minervas this year and a Red Lion too so that I could have those blooms now (older blooms can bloom in the spring). Recall that the Netherland Bulb Company sent me 6 huge replacement bulbs so at least those weren't too pricey. I also got 2 bulbs in the mail yesterday as a replacement for the Piquant that ended up as Gilmar. These have no ID...so that will be a good guessing game.

I have told myself no more bulbs this year. Several are still "sleeping" and so I can stagger the blooms.

Wow, Kristi! I went a bit overboard last year, and skyrocketed from 2 to over 60 bulbs... is that considered dedication or addiction?! You'll adore all of those, however... very nice choices! We expect pictures, you know!

Well, that clinches it... I'm going to grab a couple of Apple Blossoms if I find some on sale, and perhaps another Minerva and Red Lion, too! Those can go directly to the garden in spring!

I got my first box from RC yesterday. I am still waiting for a second order. I was really disappointed in the 5 African bulbs in the order. With all the delay, due to the new inspection rules, the Africans were in storage too long, and they are all showing excessive rot, and they have too much top growth. I don't blame RC, they just got caught in a bad situation. I did surgery on the rot, and hope that I can save them.

I'm glad to hear you got them, but sorry about the African bulbs... the whole situation with RC is a sad one. I was hoping to place a later order, but not this year... I do hope they get situated, and will rethink shipping to the US.
