same plant with his albino pup and there's another one growing on the same stolon.

the babies are getting big

a hummingbird landed in my Till. diaguatensis

Hi Karyn, the second pic is of a gardenia... this type of gardenia grows into a small tree, it is already taller than i am! The second to last pic is of a torch ginger! There is also the red torch giner, but i dont have the space for it because the leaves are just too bushy, and it doesnt bloom that much. I have never seen the white torch ginger in real life but online it looks so nice. Thanks everyone :)

Yea,I took the little umbrella greenhouse off on 3/30 trachy looks good except some minor leaf tip burn,oh yea I also planted about 30 other palms!(I guess I should start covering then now for next winter)LOL Everything looks good and we got .50"rain today with temp around 70F 10 day looks good with tues only cool day and temps 35-40 and 55-60-over next ten days soil temp 50-53 only thing is trachys in the ground all winter are more yellow than plants from indoors,will treat palms with epsom salts as this was recomended in palms won't grow here book.--Your palm looks great heres to a great year!Oh also treated spear areas with another round of fungicide,cheers

fori, yes! we are keeping the floor, i just love it, soooo low maintence. our floor guy is coming next week to install the missing floorboards, than try to "color match" it to our orginial. he is GREAT so have full confidence he'll do an astounding job. melaska , i have a kenmore elite which i love!!! we got it a few years back, dh was adamant we had to get it. dreamweaverMAM, forgot where you are in the process...any pics ? would love to see them! i love my ge spacemaker & we had a similar model in our old house. most of the micros were too big and this one is plenty roomy enough (and powerful) for our needs.

I'm ready to do it but hubby says he wants to talk about it some more. Personally I think he's just delaying the what's a foregone conclusion - the price has to come down. I'm going to try and talk him into it tonight when he gets home. homechef59, we just did the 5k allowance like a week ago. I don't think any potential buyer knows anything about an impending price cut. Edited to add: Hubby emailed and I think he's all good with it. He says I caught him at a bad time at work. I'll just double check with him tonight and then we'll contact our realtor.

Albinos live only while attached to mom....remove and they die...they also drain the mother plants energy

That would make for a striking plant..white leaves with a red spike.

Also wanted to say I think the billbergia is amazing. Great photo.

WL, your plant is at least 3 times taller than my clump. Can you post a shot of the whole plant (I'll do the same) so we can compare?

If the inflorescence is this stunning in a photo, it must be breathtaking in person. Love the colors.

A must have plant. Are they common or rare? Would it be hard to grow for someone who has never had one?

It's the right ID Lisa, it differs by the lesser amount of horizontal stripes. A fellow in Florida sent it to me because he was so proud of his collection of Kul's.
Deb, I don't really know about it being common or rare. I can't say that I've seen 'em for sale out here.
