Thats the same system that pushed through Arizona last night. We got quite a bit of rain, and now its downright cold! We haven't even reached 50 degrees yet today, and while that is not cold for some of you, it is for us! hehe (our average low for Feb is 45 degrees, and now its 2pm and we're not yet at 50....)

More than likely we'll flirt with freezing temps in the city, but definitely hit them in the outlying areas. The peach growers are stressing about that, as we were in the mid-80's last week and lots of the trees are are in bloom.

I'll definitely be bringing my brugs in up under the porch tonight. Fortunately they fared pretty well during the freak hail storm this weekend... just a little bit tattered.

You guys keep yourself safe if there are tornadoes in the area! Hopefully the storm system will pass without too much damage for anyone.

Thanks Rigo, better go check the wather channel. My citrus trees are outside and John is gone to the lake to a men only fishing seminar. They think if they don't invite us they might can outfish us but it won't work, lol.

Thanks Rigo, we are getting ready here too. Heard we are getting 75 mph winds and a chance of softball size hail. I thought about it all day and finally decided to take the plants out of the garage to pull the car in. They are the large patio containers. I put them on the front porch on the north side of the house. Hopefully when they get wet, they will be heavy enough not to become flying plants tonight. Most people are getting their plants out of harms way and here I am, putting them outside. Our car just had body work done last month and I just don't want to deal with hail damage and taking it back to the body shop.

Everyone please be safe and hope no one gets any storm damage tonight.

John didn't know about the tornado warning either so thanks again. It was funny because the guy invited us both but then when they called John to confirm that we were going they said it was for men only. Burned me up since I wasn't going anyway with Lucy being sick so they should have kept their trap shut, lol. Its a seminar about how to read the flasher feature on the fish finder which I would have liked to learn more about. John won't remember anything they tell him by this weekend anyway. He better watch out I won't let him share my plants anymore, lol. Its ok. I just don't like being uninvited.

So far nothing for us even tho the wind advisory started over an hour ago. The morons that had my house before me planted some big bushes under my bedroom window so when ever there is wind they beat the window......those suckers are out of here in a few weeks!!!! I actually took something to help me sleep last night but between the wind and the dogs being restless I couldn't sleep.

Kristy they didn't want women there because they were afraid of being shown up. You probably don't need the class anyway!!!

Glad everyone is taking precautions with tonights weather,channel 8 news said the bad stuff should be over us around 9pm and done with by 3am.Everyone be safe tonight and make sure you have a flashlight near by, you just never know.

Hold on to you hats everyone. Its here. The wind is picking up and raining hard. Looks nasty on the radar. Now we are getting some hail too. I had to go out and get two of my citrus trees it it blew them off the dang porch. Hope John can find some cover he in on the interstate heading home. Hope your stuff is ok Lucy.

The bad stuff is past. I'm so glad I called John when it started hailing. He pulled off the interstate and got inside a car wash. He said hail is pounding the building so I told him stay there until it passes.

All is well here... Hope everyone else is safe and without damage! We had about 60 mph winds but did git recieve some well needed rain in the process.. We have winter wheat just sitting and waiting for rain so this and the warm weather this coming week will make for some happy cows...LOL Thank You Lord!!!

Whew dawggies!!! We had a fast and furious storm for about 15 mins. Strong winds, pouring rain, hail, thunder and lightning. Storm is over now. Got almost 2" of rain during that 15 mins. I had unplugged everything and had candles lit just in case and the electric didn't even flicker. I've walked around the house and everything looks ok. The plants I put on the front porch didn't even get wet. Tornado sirens were going off in many areas of town, but not in mine. Hope everyone faired as well as I did. Think the further north you went the worst the storm was. I did hear that a roof was blown off a house. Guess we will hear more about storm damage tomorrow.

Rigo-sorry I missed you, I did meet your wife and she's a sweetheart.

Kristy-So glad John pulled off the road. I couldn't imagine trying to drive during the storm.

Lucy-You're right, I should have let the car get blown away. rofl I didn't think about that. But you know I did have a hard time deciding between the car or the plants to have the garage. The car won because since we've had accidents in both cars, we've lost our good drivers discount and the deductible is now $500. I didn't want to put another $500 out on that car to get hail damage fixed. We did get hail but it was only pea size, not the softball size stuff they thought might happen. Thank goodness.

Kylie, glad you didn't get any damage and for sure happy we got some rain.

I was talking on the phone with my mom the other night (she lives just NW of Phx)and she said it was pouring there!! I love the way it smells when it rains in the desert...the creosote bush scent in the air..Really miss that smell lol!

Yep! I know what you mean. There's nothing like the smell after a good desert rain!

Didn't have any bad damage. I am missing a few pots that are probably in the neighbor's yard I found most of them blown up against the fence and a few staples pulled out of the plastic on the greenhouse but nothing a few more won't fix. The worst thing is right under the eave of the house outside Morgan's room a board came loose. I knew something was wrong because her door kept sucking in and out like someone was trying to break in the house all night and the window was shut tight so it must having been pushing into the attic threw that loose spot and into her duct somehow. I guess I better go in the attic and make sure the duct work didn't come loose. Just thought about it. The soffit board just needs a couple nails so will take of it tomorrow and check the shingles on the front of the house. It was a weird direction the wind came in. Usually from the other way. It sounded like someone was throwing rocks at the front of the house during the storm. Thats why I was so surprised it blew the plants off the porch. They are usually very well protected there. John stayed under cover until the worst of the storm passed and I was so glad he found shelter in time. He said the hail was really flying in Killeen too. Good thing it moved through pretty fast. Would have had a lot more damage if it had lasted longer.

Well sounds like everyone made it thru the storms last night without alot or little damage.Nothing big here in my area just the same as Deb, some well need rain,pea size hail and lots of lightning.

The hail ripped some of the leaves off from the brugs or made them holy. But all the citrus trees are just fine.

Funny part was that when I planted the dusty Miller and pensies in the front flowerbed yesterday in the afternoon. I HAD TO WATER! It was just not moit enough and I had not soaked the plants before hand :-(
