Really Like this plant, but dont kno what it is, but the best thing to remember about cacti and succulents in General is that YOU only water when the soil is dry and you gatta poke YOUR finger into the soil a little bit, if its wastwater it...if it's damp leave it be. With these plant's when in doubt, DON'T! Is the best method on watering. You also have very heavy soil in the pot, these plants do best in either a "gritty mix" or a cacti and succulent soil,and %50 perlite added for extra drainage. The easiest way is to repot the plant with %50 cacti and succulent soil then mix %50 perlite ...mix it up and wait about a week to water the plant so the roots can heal. Try to get as much of the old dirt off the roots as best YOU can before repotting. Make sure the new pot you're putting IT IN has. Drain holes , and and slowly accumulate the plant to as much bright light as YOU can provide.I'm sure others will chime in if i left something OUT or if they know what the plant is! Goodluck

Rina, yes, it's definitely Sedum spectabile, most likely 'Autumn Joy' and is one of the backbones of garden flowering plants during our UK Autumn season. It's one for outdoors unless you live at the North Pole! It's just not designed to be indoors, it will take snow, hail, rain, wind and ice...it's common name here in the UK.....Ice plant! Mine have endured -17C winters and feet of compacted snow, no problems at all, they laugh at it, which for a very juicy and succulent plant seems very unusual doesn't it! It amazes me at its resilience, it always bounces back, the only problem is that it can be a slug and snail magnet, so beware Rebecca :-0 Good you saved it, but best you plant it/keep it where it will grow. It will turn to mush and disappear underground come the frosts and colder days and grow twice as big again in spring! Gill

Ochnas are usually on display in "spring" (from January to February), especially in Tet holidays for their abundance of bright-shading flowers (of course this is their main flowering season). ^^

My climate is 12b/13a ... We're closer to the Virgin Islands and a stone's toss from St John. Scalding hot sun. Gritty and soil-less mixes don't work here. It rains daily and the succulents don't rot. I cultivate adeniums, plumerias, hoyas, all sorts of C&S in full sun, under the elements with a high draining mix, which includes lava rock ... pumice and/or perlite, activated charcoal, large particle river sand AND soil. Clay pots dry out too fast here ... I use them, but minimally and for cactus only. Mounted? This orchid is IN the soil mix described above ... Always has been. It was given to me by an orchid grower in a similar mix and I've had no problems. I have others that crawl out of their orchid mixes. Mounted, really? I've mounted dendrobiums to yucca trees with success. Can't picture this one mounted though. I will definitely google it so I can see that. It is currently mounted on a gate, in a pot. I live in a condo garden apt. No trees, just a balcony and green gallery.
