Some June bloomers

Here are a few of the broms blooming in my shadehouse during June.

Aechmea zebrina

Neoregelia 'Fanfare'

Orthophytum 'Iron Ore'

for gonzer and other Tilly lovers- Tillandsia 'Redy'. The inflorescence has looked great since early May and still no sign of a flower.

Vriecantarea 'Inferno'... have to get another photo without the pole when the flowers start developing

Great pics. I really like the Cherry Port.

I'm kind of between bloomers right now. I should have some nice pics next month at least until I start crossing and tagging everything and then they will look like HDD plants.

BTW, I finally put a beeriana out in the yard. Thanks for the seed last year. I killed all but 3, but since one was so much bigger than the others, I pretty much ignored all the other ones.

Paul, that's a good looking inflo on 'Redy', never seen one before. All the plants look great! Have to admit though that Cherry Port could make a convert outta me. ;-)

Kathy.Thank you for the gorgeous Daylily picture.Its gorgeous.I love it.I really love the ones with them big eyes.I wrote the name of this one down so I can look for it.Would love to add it in my rose gardens.I have Custard Candy and really love it.Hope you will show me some more of your beautiful daylilies,too along with the roses.Your roses are so beautiful.Love that Marilyn Monroe.I have one small bloom today on mine,but the bush looks horrible.Worms and Caterpillars are chewing them to pcs,and I have sprayed them several times for bugs and it hasn't helped.If it ain't deer destroying my roses,its the darn bugs now.I have put a damper on the deer,now I have to find some thing to stop these other critters.I love that Disneyland.Its gorgeous amd Honey Bouquet,too.Thank you for sharing your beauties. Heucheras 2 biennials: Sweet William (Dianthus barbatus) & forget-me-not (Myosotis) Corydalis lutea groundcovers: Galium odoratun (Sweet Woodruff) Lamium mac... (spotted dead nettle),& Ajuga reptans perennial cornflower (Centaurea montana) hardy geraniums G. phaeum & G. macrorrhizum (bigroot) Polemonium caeruleum (Jacob's ladder) Sambucus nigra (black elderberry) Columbine This year our spring & early summer was cooler than normal so blooms were later so might not match up with your season. I'm in western WA zone 7, so timing might be different for you.

Some first time bloomers!

Bintulu Borneo first bloom in mid July. Loved all the nectar. Didn't have a fragrance this time, but heard it is fragrant. Mathilde - first bloom at the end of June. A nonstop grower and one of my favorite blooms. Night scent like lilies that turns rank after the first couple nights.

I agree with Kate about Real Wind. A unique older daylily. I grew it many years ago, and it unfortunately didn't hold it's pattern all that well, but early in the AM it was a beaut.....Night Embers interests me again. It always seems to have a nice double shape.....Sailor Sky never fails to look good in your garden and Debra's daylilies seem to enjoy your garden too............Maryl

I got T.'Redy' from Paul Isley when I was out for the conference in 2006. It's been a really great grower for me!

Hey Paul I got the same plant from Isley at the conference but my bloom don't look that good. Yours is completly red. Mine is more yellow and green. Nice plant

Nice selection of plants Paul, I do like that 'Inferno'. How long has it taken to flower? Have you had the plant since it was a pup?

I got it in August 2004 at the Chicago conference. It was a decent sized pup, about 15" tall as I remember it. The inflorescence is now approaching 5' tall.
