Since it is already rooted, I would poit it up and put it in a sunny window. When the danger of frost is over it can go outside. You may want to defoliate it and spray to make sure you get rid of anny critters that may be on it. Don't worry, the leaves will grow back in no time. Welcome to the forum!

How much sun should the plant get indoors? I don't have a suitable south facing window, I live in an old house and all the windows on that side of the house are too high.

Are there any other options?

As much light as possible.. Not having a ton of light will just slow the growth down becoming dormant/semi dormant.. which is not a bad thing..The one thing you need to keep an eye on is bugs.. Mites, aphids and white flies...
Being in Hot~Lanta it won't be long before you will have everything out and thriving..

OMG, a neighbor who is being welcome into the fold!!!! Let me get into my enabling mode.

Heaven, I have 35 varietes of brugs, maybe more and when it gets a little warmer, I will lay out the wares to entice you into complete addiction!!! LOL!

I live just to the north of Lake Lanier and Mark/trigger lives nearby in Cleveland- he has more brugs than I do!!

BTW, If your cutting is well rooted in a pot, you can keep it in a cool basement, water very little, and keep the room on the dark side. I have about 20 brugs hanging out in my basement under these conditions, as we speak!

Brenda, that deep pink seedling is soooooooo nice I am so desperate to get my hands on some of the deep pinks this summer. Let me know if you ever have cuttings of that one available. I had no idea CG blooms turned that light peach color, all the pictures show it yellow to apricot. I do have a cutting of one of those that I'm excited about, I hear it blooms alot. Thanks for the pictures.

Brenda those pics are great! just beautiful! May I ask what temp your basement is? If all goes well, I am going to be needing more space for mine next winter and have my eye on my basement. Just wondering what a good "cool" temp is and if mine is too cold. I should stick a thermometer down there today and keep my eye on it.

Daniella- Sometimes my basement is just above freezing, but usually around 45*, and my brugs look just pitiful but they are still alive and not really drying out on the ends. They are going to be so happy wihen I bring them up in another month- me, too!!!

Karyn- Sam was covered with about 25 small (8-9")double blossoms on a plant not even 4' tall- too cute!!

Pagrdnr- Jim/Jeep posted a bunch of photos of Charles Grimaldi a while ago, sometime during the winter- had all kinds of looks! I love this brug- very fragrant, starts out yellow, goes orange then pinky-orange and just keeps going with the blooms!! This is a seedling and may not be anything special- parents are Esmeraldas x Mountain Magic. I will use her for hybridizing, tho! Check back with me later this summer!

Delise sent me a beautiful cutting of Sam that was doing wonderful till just last week.. Struggling a bit.. I still have a few trades to wrap up at BGI I am hoping to get another piece just incase I lose him...Got my eye on Tootsie also...

That Tootsie is a cutie and the cross I have of her from Seed Sprout had good germination. So maybe I'll get my own cuties!

I can send you Sam if you lose this one but not til later in the season. I had two cuttings of Sam- one I gave to Mark/Trigger, and then the other one started heading South. I quickly repotted it in Spagnum moss with soil above and below the moss- and it is recovering and growing.

I can't stress enough the inmportance of bottom watering cuttings and plants- it makes the roots reach to the bottom of the pot and the cuttings don't rot as bad- lost a few before I realized this- same for the seedlings.

Heavensent...welcome to the forum. Like you, am a complete newbie to Brugs, and I can't wait to add to my 1 plant given to me by jroot.

Mine is in a 12" plastic pot by a south facing window. I have ben watering it, and the little buds and leaves have been consistent.

Question for the experts....Should I drop the pot into the ground come spring, or should I just re-pot it into a bigger pot, in order to get the brug to grow taller and bloom profusely?
