Good morning all my GW buddies

Still no new brug pictures but since I have them outside, they sure are starting to get new growth like crazy.

To bad they have to be moved in tonight. The weather is going down to around 38 and tomorrow even 32. Not taking any chances. So watch your babies if you already give them sunbathing time.

Now to the picture of today.

To make someone happy does not have to cost a lot sometimes. Not that we all do not like getting nice things like : garden tiller (coming as soon as I feel better to go shopping for one). Or I pods. Computers or what have you.

When the package arrived for Madison from Deb and Madison did not come over because she was sick. Well it sure was torture to have it sitting there just looking at it lol. I have tried to get Maddy over ANYTIME but finally on Friday she and I got to spend a few hours together.

To her it was like a miracle that SHE got a package addressed to HER! The theme was sunflowers. From the beautiful address label down to Teddy holding a HUGE sunflower. But we really had fun with the original thought Deb had. Send Maddy some sunflower seeds to plant herself and watch them grow. Since I always say how much she loves helping me in the garden.

Deb you sure made this little girl very happy. Just look:

The package with seashells made ME very happy. Of course Maddy was intrigued by them also and she was so happy when she got to pick 2 to take home.

WOW Theresa. I guess you made this mirror frame? How original and gorgeous! Where did you get those gorgeous shells. wow I see lots of great looking shells.

hi hi I guess when I take Maddy for Orlando spring break and Disney visits. We are going to have to collect more shells :-)

My husband and I had a good laugh this morning when I told him about it.......since I had asked him the other day to help me find it. He said "tell them, in the picture we found the abominable snowman, an image of Jesus, and the Virgin Mary........but no bear. :)

Bestyears, I'm so sorry for your loss. I can imagine the joy that Ash brought into your life, & the void he leaves behind. I wonder if Ash knew it was his time & stayed behind in the car because he was seeking a quiet resting place. I know, it may sound far-fetched, but it is possible! It has been said that all animals know when they are about to die, & they will often seek out a cave-like environment, perhaps under a bed or in a densely planted area, so they may peacefully pass away.Though you may not of known of any health problems, Ash may have had this awareness. One thing is for certain, Ash passed away knowing he was loved & cared for. I'm sure you were a wonderful cat mom, as all of your posts here indicate that you are a kind, warm-hearted person. I'm sure Ash received the best care possible throughout his decade on earth. I would find some comfort in knowing that my cat died a peaceful death. Ash was not hit by a car or attacked by a dog. A grizzly fate such as that would be even more devastating, as then Ash would have suffered great pain. I know these days must be so painful for you. My thoughts & prayers are with you as you grieve. Peace be with you.

Hi everyone, wanted to post some updates! Amy and Brian, how are you both liking the cool weather? Thank you both for the cuttings that you sent me! Lucy that is truly precious. My daughter Rachel who will soon be 16, still loves to dabble in the garden and with my plants. She got some seeds for Christmas and can't wait to get them started. She always makes fun of me being here on garden web, she calls it the secret plant society,but deep down I know she is teasing and truly loves plants. Now I just have to watch her this year and make sure she doesn't pick all my plumeria blooms from the middle again. At least she took interest and enjoyed them!

Lucy, I'm so glad that your GD liked the seeds. She is such a cutie!!! The pics are precious and it brighten my day seeing her sowing her seeds. She'll have to keep us updated as they grow. :o)
And having that package there and you didn't open it. My curiosity might have gotten the better of me. Of course I would have retaped it so no one would know. lol Reminds me of the Dick Van Dyke show when Laura opens the raft. lol I can get mail and not touch it for days, but if a package comes, I need to see what's in it. :o)

You got some pretty shells, do you have plans for them? That was sweet of your GS's gathering shells special for their Oma.

Theresa, cool looking frame. Did you make it?

She is so beautiful and such a sweet little girl. It was nice meeting her Friday. Its so good that she likes to garden. Reminds me of when the boys were little and I had a vegatable garden. I would be going down the row planting a seedling and look behind me and the boys were pulling them out as fast as I put them in. They said they were weeding, lol. Hope you are feeling better.

Mary it is amazing what a child remembers from the days when they were helping their mom's ..grandma's :-) garden. I do remember so much from my mom :-)

Deb I am so glad you liked the little thank you pictures. ha ha ha you know. I was only a mailcarrier for 7 years but I did learn that it is a crime to open mail not addressed to you roflmao. No it would have taken the SPECIAL suprise away when we all gathered to open the package :-) As for the shells I want to build a congrete wall with soil build up above the ground high enough so I can plant a tree and know that it has soil to grow on and not just rocks lol. So the shells will get stuck on the outside. Think it will work?

Kristy it was real good that Maddy got a bear from Deb. That meant that I did not have to share the one I got from Lucy Lou lol Yes thank you, feeling good enough not to have to stay in bed all day.
