Beautiful, but cold I bet. We don't have snow but the wind makes it really cold. Makes spring that much more desired, so we can get on with our anticipated projects I'm sure all of us have in the back of our busy little minds. Thanks for sharing your pic.

Hello Everyone... Cactusmcharris...yes, that is me behind that huge Agave!!! We were on vacation down on the Outer Banks fishing that day...I really didn't want to post a pic of myself...but I wanted to show the size of the Agave!!! "Great Hair day after boating all day!!!" LOL... I know you have many palms up in your area (Kamloops) : ) beacuase I have passed through your area several years ago on my way from Banff to Canum Lake near 100 mile house!!! Beautiful area...lots of snow, but missing the palms!!! If you ever get the urge to hug an Agave...make sure the points have been removed!!! LOL...or else you will have natural piercings all over...this is a plant that demands respect!!! That's why I had to give this "Mac Daddy" a small hug!!! It has to be the biggest one that I have ever seen growing close in my area... Hello Josh...That is one beauty of an Agave!!! That AGave came from a friend of mine that is no longer here with us...so it is very special to me...I call it "My Jack Plant" A coworker of mine had it growing in PA and sent me a pup to grow...It has taken off and loves the climate here in VB. I really need to plant it in the ground because it is so root bound, but I am afraid of losing it...hopefully next spring I will plant it somewhere in my back yard...my son gets very tired of moving it around for me...like I said to catsusmcharris..you get pierced all the time!! I use fingernail clippers to trim the points off of mine!!! Yes, that is my mug peeking through the leaves of that beautiful Agave... Take care everyone!!! Laura in VB

Going to wait a little bit before the dog gets her walk, but I am on my way out to perform surgery on snowlady. She needs a neck job. And with the sun on her right now, I think she just might lose her head! ahahahaha

For the past posters that said that the vents are not constructed properly I don't think you fully understand the circumstances such as high winds, size of the snow particles and direction that the vents are facing.. In a windy location such as Wisconsin near lake Michigan the fine snow that rests on the roof can get whipped up and blow about like a mini blizzard. This snow can blow into the vents and settle I solved this issue very easily and quickly. as you can see in the pictures the vent is constructed correctly with screen and mesh but this fine snow can still make it's way into your attic. The product below is a big upgrade on the cheap fiberglass filters that some have suggested and still maintains air circulation that is important. I purchased the product you see in the second picture at home depot for about $8 it's a 24 in. x 36 in. x 1 in. Cut-To-Fit made by Natural Aire. You can cut this material with heavy shears or a razor knife to create any size. It is springy, almost rigid and needs no frame for support. Just cut a bit larger that the framed opening and push it in to install. Took me less than 5 minutes.
