Dead or Dormant?

I have several plants that haven't broken dormancy yet and I'm wondering if they survived the harsh winter. I'm in North Central TX (DFW) area.

1. Ageratina havanensis (aka Eupatorium havanense) Shrubby boneset. It was only planted in the fall, so may not have been well enough established. I'm probably on the north end of its range as well, so it may be goner.

2. Boehmeria cylindrica False Nettle

This was planted last spring and was going great. It's range extends way north of me, so I'm just wondering if maybe it's slow to break dormancy? I'd be really surprised if it were dead just because we got down in the low teens.

Thanks

Teri
