Hurricane Ike and the hippis

beachplant

Well, most of the amaryllis are starting to pop up so I'm hopeful they survived the hurricane. There were a couple sprouting before we evacuated that I can find no sign of, I'm assuming the foliage rotted. We had about 4' of salt water in the yard for 24-36 hours. There were a couple of hippis in pots, we put them around the pond as we were afraid of them blowing away, not flooding with salt water, those seem to be the worst of. I'm afraid Supreme Garden is dead as I find no sign of the bulb.

Not much in the stores here, Red Lion, Apple Blossom, White Christmas and that's about it.

Tally HO!
