Is there hope for my meyer lemon trees?

Hello all

I posted this here b/c I frequent this forum during b/f season and I figured someone here might know the answer. I have two meyer lemon trees that I left outside (covered) during a severe cold snap, during which it got down to minus zero temps (wind chill) for a couple of nights, and they really took a hit. I thought they would be OK covered, turns out they needed to come in. Ouch.

So these are my two main host plants for GSTs and I am really hoping they are OK. The foliage is obviously dead, drooping and withered but I cannot tell about the plants themselves. Should I leave them be and let the leaves fall off or completely cut them back in the spring hoping that new growth will come up?

Thank you!!

Shannon
