HAVE: Agave Parryi Truncata pups

I have lots of 1 and 2 year old pups to trade. This is one of the most beautiful and cold resistant agaves. Stemless rosettes with a max size of 30"w by 15"t have been known to survive zone 5. These like a dry winter but will tolerate some rain (I've never had one die of root rot). I'd be most interested in asian lillies, glads, yuccas, aloes, or succulents I don't have - but am open to any plant that can be mailed bareroot (I'm in California).

I would love to add your Agave to my collection, it is one I havn't seen before. I have a large collection of sedum , if that would interest you. I would rather trade for 3 or 4 plants though to make the postage worthwhile. Let me know what you think.

I'd be interested in your Aloe aristata. I also noticed you have some euphorbias. I lost all of mine to the freeze this year (we don't usually freeze) and would love some cuttings if you have some to spare. I have agave parryi (truncata?) pups, they are around 4"-6" and have been growing in pots so they are well rooted. They are very nice compact plants that grow to a max of about 30". I have other agave pups but these have been proven to be cold hardy down to at least zone 5. I would love a few seedlings if you are interested.

Hi paracelsus, The producer of this plant, Proven Winners, states: "A striking hybrid that forms a tight head similar to cabage with leaves that impress each cupped leaf firmly on its enclosing mate in a beautiful pattern. The leaves grow up to one foot long and are blue-green with teeth." I know they won't survive without protection. I have many Agave, Yucca, Echinocereus, Escobaria, Opuntia, and one Echinocactus species that survive my winters quite well with nothing more than gritty, well drained soil and a cover from fall to spring to keep out precipitation. I'm curious if this hybrid will do well along with the rest of them, which is why I'm interested in knowing the second hybrid parent. You may be right, it could be a varietal selection. I've contacted the Proven Winners company but also wanted to check here and see if anyone knew offhand.

I have several yuccas started from seed that are now in 1 gallon pots and can be bare rooted, also have
Aloe microstigma, Aloe peglerae, Aloe variegata, Pachypodium brevicaule, Pachypodium densiflora, Pachypodium geayi and Pachypodium gracilis.
