I snuck out between rain showers to take a couple pics too! I'm still trying to get used to the new camera, so please bear with my amateur photography skills, lol. Purple Wave Petunia Orange Nasturtium - I wintersowed this mix from a trade and had no idea what colours they would be. So far I've had yellow and this brilliant orange. I swear it probably glows in the dark, lol. Campanula - can't remember the name of it right now. Dianthus "Strawberry Super Parfait" - Survived the winter nicely and is full of buds. Please ignore the weeds, between working and the rain I didn't have a chance to pull them. Really need to get Photoshop to take care of that, lol. Cindy

They never germinated period. After reading around on different forums and such I noted lot of folks talking about the low germination rate of this particular tomato. Maybe there is some truth to that. I sowed them all; how many were in the packet I can't remember. Out of strmywthr's seeds I only got 4 seedlings out of appx. 10 seeds sown. **** Vera, there was low germination with Black Cherry when TGS first offered it as bred by Vince Sapp, deceased husband of Linda Sapp who still runs TGS, b'c as Linda said, their own seed production for it wasn't all that good and there were too many immature seeds. But if anyone saves their own seed from Black Cherry and processes the seed correctly by fermentation or some other method then germination is usually close to 100% with relatively fresh seed. So I assume what you read referred to the initial situation with TGS, and that was true, but that was then and this is now and there no longer should be any trouble. And of course I know nothing about the seeds you got from stormyweather and if she processed them or got them elsewhere. Hope that helps. Carolyn

Good evening, y'all! It's been warm (up to the mid-70's) and sunny here today. I sat out in it for a few minutes this morning when dh let me off at the front door of the hospital and went to park the car. My procedure went great. Just the colonscopy, not the top end this time. All was well, no polyps or problems. YEA! Must have been all those good thoughts and prayers from my good friends. :) Marci and Jan, I'm so sorry to hear about your falls and owies. Bless your hearts. Let others pamper you until you're feeling better! Suzanne, all your photos this week have been so beautiful. The one of the pending avalanche was amazing. And, after my experience this morning, all I can say about that egg photo is "ouch" for that poor chicken that delivered the really big one! Love your photos always! Dee, thanks for checking in about Dave on FB. Still no word. I guess that things are still the same, so they don't have the heart to post right now. DH and I drove straight to Antonio's Italian restaurant from the hospital! LOL The dr. had advised a bland diet: scrambled eggs, pancakes, oatmeal. I just looked at him and said, "WHAT???" He laughed and told me to just go easy at first and to not eat the peppers in the salad when I got there. I ate about 1/4 of the salad and the shrimp & chicken florentine, then boxed up the leftovers for dinner tonight. It was definitely the thought that counted for that meal. :) I slept great last night and awoke ready to get the show on the road at 9 a.m. I got to the hospital at 10 and was in and out from the procedure at the same time I'd originally been scheduled for it. Home by 1 after lunch. No nap, but I'm sure I'll sleep well tonight. It's great to come here and see Maddie, Donna, and Marci posting, too. It's how it should be! I'll be talking to y'all more this weekend. Time for a bite to eat!

Margo - finally got down to the post office and collected your package. Thank you so much! Beautiful embossed handmade card, she decorated a card for the recipe fro Caramel Apple pie as well, a big package of cinnamon sticks (yea! love them), seeds for Blackberry lily, Tomato soup coneflower and Morning Glory Grandpa Otts plus hand beaded earrings and bracelet in a little muslin bag. Was out with friends for dinner and I’m wiped (just in) so pictures have to wait until tomorrow.
