My Red Navel Oranges (recently picked) were green on the outside, and pinkish orange inside. Large, sweet, but no great color due to 80 degree weather. Rayandgwenn, your trees look wonderful! Very healthy and of good size! Don't get me wrong, I like my Julie Mango, but I do wish the fruits were bigger. Ohiojay, the telephone poles are still laying in my yard. Hubby mows around them. It is too darn hot to dig 6' deep holes and lug concrete. The tropicals are safe on the patio, and will come in the house if the temps ever drop. On the first cool day, I'll be out there diggin'! George, I agree. Texas Tomato Cages are legendary and one of the best things about them is that they fold up for storage. One complaint about them from people who used them in the early days was that they were only 6' tall, which really isn't tall enough in our climate, but the Texas Tomato Cage people solved that by creating extensions you can purchase to add 20 or 24" more (I think, this is from memory, so don't quote me on that) to the height. The Texas Tomato Cage is the only tomato cage I know of that is so unique that it was granted a U. S. Patent. Wufleton, You will love them and your plants will be so happy. I'd suggest using 6' or 8' tall metal t-posts to stake them. Once the plants are up to the top of the cage, they are very heavy and a strong thunderstorm can blow them over---that is true of any tomato cage. While the cage is very important, the manner in which we stake cages is equally important. I generally use two stakes for every cage that is supporting an indeterminate tomato plant. Dawn
