Tell me does everyone use their green house in the winter months only?

Detrick do you know which brand it is? I looked online and didn't see anything for that price. I'm looking to either extend the one I have or buy another one.

it frame looks like the gh that you currently have. i think the frame on this one is metal. check out the link to see a pic of the gh. this is not the company that sells it at costco. notice the bubble window! single-layer polycarbonate w/ glass-like clarity, but virtually unbreakable. highly impact resistant.

Does the link you gave show something that is just like what Costco is selling? It sure looks like a nice model. Seems funny Costco doesn't show it on their website. We don't have a membership but I'm sorely tempted.... :)

that looks just like what costco is selling, except that it's 6'x6'. i was just there today and should have looked for the manufacturer.

costco is definitely worth the membership. there's always something seasonal that i "need". LOL

I have a completely unused part of the back yard, about 15 ft by 15 ft of pool decking abutting a fence, good south exposure, but cooling the greenhouse would be work, would need a misting system.

My only concern was that it was a hard clear plastic, which I can see lasting about 5 years in AZ before it dries and cracks all up.

I think Costco and GW should go in business together! A friend of mine and I stopped by today to look at the Greenhouse. Was impressed, but like euqruob, wonder about the plastic. My friend said, hey if it lasts five years, for the price it seems worth it. Lots of people looking at it. Still thinking....

Anyone buy one yet?

If you're looking for one with plastic sheeting, here's the one I have. It's not a perfect thing(the windows don't really line up all that great, I attached stick on velcro around the open spots to make a better seal) and it doesn't just pop right up like GT's does (took about an hour for me and DH to put up) but the size is nice.

Sorry for the bad pic- something on lens. I meant to post pics earlier when GT had a thread going, but we've had our hands full here (entire exterior home redo, we didn't do all the work, but it's been a tough couple of months- plus I'm slowly redoing the interior myself as well) and taking pics hasn't been on the forefront. I will go out and take better pics today.

I saw the Costco one too - the plastic may be unbreakable, but I can't see it lasting too long. It's about the same consistency as that clear plastic that is used to contain some items that you buy - you know, the stuff you need a blow torch to get through in order to open your purchase? When I reached up to touch the plastic it was flexible enough to push in.

Might be worthwhile even if you use it like Lynn's later on - like a frame that you can put either plastic or shade cloth on, depending on the season....

okay, which one of you bought the gh from costco???

pc - would you say that the polycarbonate was durable even though you could push it in? do you still have your portable carport? i'm going to erect mine in the front yard and try to sell it.

The polycarbonate is tough, I'm just not sure how long it would be tough - plastic tends to desiccate in our dry heat within a couple of years, that's my concern.

The bigger greenhouses that Costco advertised on line (I haven't looked at them for a while) were the best priced ones of the genre, but they're in the 1200.00 range.

I added polycarbonate to my sidewalls and endwalls.. GE claims and warrinties for 10 years.. Time tells though but so far it hasnt faded of discolored.. Its just expensive as heck, the polycarbonate cost more than the steel frame and the rest of the structure.....
