Updates on sick/treated bulbs

I just wanted to give you the updates on the 3 sets of bulbs that got different treatments:

chipping: the one big root continues to grow. Can't see any new bublets yet, but it's just been 2 weeks.

cut/captan/dried then replanted: Amazingly, within days of replanting after drying for a week, these 2 bulbs are regrowing with absolutely normal looking foliage. Recall that the necks were rotten. I cut them really low, dusted with captan powder and dried them for a week. They were replanted and have really taken off. I also did this to the Popov bulb that didn't look so good!

dried then hot water treatment then replanted: Wow...these 2 bulbs are doing as well as those that were dusted/dried and replanted, but I am sure that any insects that might have been within the bulb are dead AND the hot water treatment is supposed to stimulate the production of side bulbs! I'll keep you posted.
