UPDATE on my light bulb issue

I posted a few days ago that I had bought a special light bulb (Mini-indoor-Floodlight) for a little sewing lamp, paid $3.49 +tax, only to have it burn out after 5 days.

It hadn't occurred to me to do so, but several KTers suggested taking it back to the store of purchase. Today I did that (@ Kmart) & was treated pleasantly and was given a replacement bulb!!

-AND-

I had previously emailed Sylvania, explained what had happened & requested a coupon for replacing the bulb. I have rec'd an email back that they are going to send me a voucher to cover the cost of the bulb!!

Problem resolved VERY SATISFACTORILY.... doubly so.

And in the previous post I learned (from Cynic) that one should temper the filaments in new bulbs by keeping them lit the first time for about 4- 6 hours rather than flipping them on & off. So my new little bulb is burning brightly right now, getting tempered..... hopefully.
